Chill Ville, View Point Hotel

Absolutely beautifully hotel. The views are breathtaking we loved sitting by the pool and looking at the view. The staff are so helpful and friendly, really kind with my little boy. Pool isnt massive for kids but we were only there for 2 nights. Food is lovely, small choice for breakfast but great quality. We eate in the r restaurant 1 night and it was really tasty food.

Recently stayed at Chill Ville hotel in Ella for 3 nights, and would highly recommend for a very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay with incredible views, delicious food and brilliant service. Great value for money, considering the peaceful location, views, level of privacy and service. We did not realise we would have a little retreat to ourselves, with an outdoor seating area separate to the main reception, eating and pool area. The pool is beautiful, and the hotel is only a 15 minute Tuk Tuk from Ella centre and little Adam’s Peak. The hotel manager was also very considerate and accommodating, and helped us with our journey onwards to Udawalawe and Mirissa.

We took the train from Kandy to Ella and after a tortuous Tuk tuk ride up into the hills we arrived at Chill Ville. We had a lovely welcome and the room was beautiful, very spacious and with a lovely big balcony looking out over the hills. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal, there are some really nice curries on the menu. My husband had ‘pad Lanka’ with prawns and I had a very tasty chicken curry with rice and plantain. We enjoyed a great night’s sleep and then woke up to the most incredible view. It is hard to describe how this place makes you feel, but there is a calming and wonderful atmosphere that transports you away from all of your troubles. It really is quite beautiful. The breakfast was lovely, a big pot of strong coffee and lots of delicious fruit, juices, pastries and hot options. The staff were all so friendly and lovely. Sadly we only stayed at this little piece of paradise one night but it will be somewhere we will never forget. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

Really amazing hotel with super views both from the room and from the restaurant. The food was outstanding - curries, lamprais and the best breakfast we have had - the entire spread home made with delicious omelettes, muffins and spiced marmalade. Incredible. The views from our room (no.1) were spectacular and a large terrace to sit and relax on. one thing to be aware of is the air conditioning does not work - or there is not enough electricity to power it we were told, so there is the machine but no controller to power it although an adequate fan is in the room. I say this to manage expectations as the climate is cool in the evening so that this would not affect too much.
