We stayed at B&B Hotel Freiburg-Süd for one night on our way through the Black Forest. We had a prior reservation, and the check-in process was very smooth and hassle-free. The room was quite small, as was the bathroom, typical of a B&B. It had a small TV mounted in front of the bed. There was a window facing the tram terminal; the movement was constant but not bothersome. The hotel offers free parking with plenty of available space, which is very convenient if you have a car. The hotel is located somewhat away from the city center, but one of the trams that stops near the hotel can take you to Münsterplatz (Cathedral Square) in about 25 minutes. The only way to reach it is by public transportation; it is not feasible to walk (it's more than 5 kilometers). Although it is a "bed and breakfast," the rate does not include breakfast. However, they offer it for an additional fee. If you don't mind the distance to the city and the size of the room, it is a budget-friendly option in Freiburg.
