Résidence Pierre & Vacances Premium L'Amara

Premium residence L'Amara, Avoriaz, where insult is added to injury! Pierre et Vacances is part of the Centre Parcs group. An alleged, peaceful 5* residence with a typical Savoyard feel. My experience, a hotel filled with drunken disorderly behaviour, foul language, my distressed pre-school children and no more than 3 hours of sleep per night. Loud music with games at the bottomless brunch cafe opposite the residence followed by repetitive base beats and room vibrations until 2 am, topped off by drunken singing and shouting from the neighbouring room every night in the early hours of the morning approx 4-6 am which we reported multiple times. The noise from the neighbouring room made the nights unbearable. Broken glass in multiple areas of the apartment, see photos. No action was offer other that to speak to the day time manager. If you can track down the daytime Manager/Director (conflicting information was given to Madame’s whereabouts and access) you’ll wish you didn’t. A stark contrast from her kind night time colleague. Dare attempt to explain the situation, and seek help as I did. I was met by simple shrugging of the shoulders and looks of disinterest. When I asked her if she would at least say something empathetic like sorry after I had been up all night due to the situation, she launched into a personal attack. I was met with aggressive gesticulations, pointing at me stating “ look at you, look at the state of you” followed by something I did not understand in French, then stormed off. To which I replied “ I agree, look at the state of me” as I’d had no more than 3 hours of sleep per night since arrival and having to deal with restless upset toddlers through the night. After she had publically humiliated me I asked please could we get a partial refund as I at this point just wanted to leave. To my horror I was then unfairly confronted with threats that she would call the police on me. I have never experienced anything like this ever before in my life. From my observations the hotel could have easily placed family bookings together, not between festival goers. They could have offered a change or room perhaps? No attempt was made at any time to offer any assistance. Needless to say we left, simply the worst place I have stayed, just awful. After leaving I submitted a complaint through the Pierre et Vacances website. Over a month later I personally have had no response at all, other than an automatic email to confirm receipt. I have not even a sorry. I do not wish any one else to experience this nightmare “holiday”.
