I have stayed at this resort on several occasions now while travelling on business, and every time has been a huge disappoin**ent. On the last three occasions I rang ahead to see if the Italian was open to be told it was, only when I arrived the restaurant was either closed or unavailable due to a large party. On this current occasion again I rang ahead and was told the Italian was closed but the sister restaurant Aspects was open. On arrival an hour ago, I attempted to book, only to be told there was no availability unless I eat immediately. Having travelled for over 9 hours on business and needing to do some work and freshen up I was told they could not get me for food anywhere on the property. I asked if I could have room service, which is showing as an option on the website only to be told it was unavailable. So a cold buffet from local supermarket it is. On my return from the local supermarket I asked for an ice bucket to keep my water cold, to be told they don’t have any. When you paying good money to stay over on business the minimum you would expect is for food to be available, however this is the fourth time now I have been unable to eat at this hotel. I will convey my experiences to the CEO through email, and I will never stay here again, be warned.

Breakfast terrible. Rooms filthy with dust. No manager available. Resort is in a state of disrepair. Quite a depressing hotel to stay in. We will not be coming back to stay here again. Local hotel nearby are a much better option for accommodation. .

Some of the reviews on here seem a bit harsh. It’s a bit faded (a lick of paint here and there and they could make more of the grounds) and at times, understaffed but we had a great time. It was great for little ones and the staff were generally working hard to give people a good time. We had a lovely meal (including fantastic service) at Giuliano’s; and a good dinner (with great service except towards the end when our waitress who was fab, just had too much to do and so it was slow to get plates cleared and get the bill). The food at both places was great. Kids’ activity centre and the evening entertainment were big hits for us. Ollie in the activity centre and the lady who was also in there were great to make sure we knew all the options for the kids and were happy in there. And loads to do in the different activity rooms and soft play etc. We also enjoyed the pool. It got a bit busy one day, as did other areas of the hotel like breakfast, but to be expected with it being the Easter holidays. Enjoyed breakfast - pretty standard selection but was good and decent and good coffee and juice etc and would rather than than more options but lower quality. Staff at breakfast were plenty and replenished things quickly and were clearing plates non stop - I actually didn’t think they needed to clear as much as they did. The dinner element of the dinner, bed and breakfast stay we had was a good offer. And a great location for wandering into Aviemore or to go to Loch and Eilen and elsewhere. And loads to do when it’s wet. We’d go back.

We were at the Highlands hotel, the room was cozy and clean and had a cozy Scottish feel. What is disappointing is the staff, welcome and friendliness as a whole. A couple of people at check in were friendly, but breakfast service is awful! You get thrown in the end of the room, one waitress questioned me when I asked for extra toast. Coffee was poor, overall food was average, they seem to run out of pastries etc. But worst of all there is no friendly face it's like they don't want to be there, we were there a few days and no one really noticed or cared. Pool was like a local swimming bar, but we had fun nonetheless. Unfortunately we will not be going back!

Our chalet was modern and has quite recently been redecorated. It was lovely, clean, very comfortable and well equipped. There were double and twin rooms snd a sofa which converted into a double bed. Our chalet was in a great location overlooking the golf course.

A brilliantly organised Mother’s Day event including afternoon tea, gourmet food and drink tasting, a mother’s goody bag and cinema! Very well ran, the food was delicious and the staff were excellent. My thanks goes to Bethanie B for recommending and booking me in.

Having stayed here every year since 2017 for Thunder in the Glens rally well this year they asked for 1st night paid upfront and none refundable and then the remaining 2 nights paid 1 month before arrival total £594, 1st morning was a total disaster at breakfast, no1 checked us in or showed us to a table (to busy talking among themselves) with up to 1 hour queue for food as there was none out and 1 member of staff on behind the counter and even he was under pressure then when we got our food we had to go looking for cutlery and cups. 2nd morning was every bit as bad long queues and no staff even the mushrooms came out of the kitchen after being cooked in a deep fat fryer and full of oil. Our room got serviced the 1st morning and that was it never serviced the rest of the stay On check out they told us the hotel manager would be in touch but no surprise we haven't heard from them even though I've sent e-mails to them this is suppose to be a 4star hotel and is far from it in our eyes all they wanted was the money an no customer service whosoever they are far better places to stay in Aviemore and a lot cheaper with better service ...
