Le Pigeonnier Du Perron, Hôtel Châtellerault

Endroit sympathique Mais réceptionnaire au Check out peu agréable

We stayed for one night at this hotel and will not be returning. The main problem for us was the restaurant food. We had to choose our meal on arrival from a very small choice of menu. There was only one meat offering which was a chicken burger - being in France we were not expecting a minute chicken nugget in a sweet bun with limp burnt chips to arrive! The fish option was poor, and was almost cold. We told the waiter we were not happy when he noticed we had not eaten our food and he offered us a free drink, which we declined. At breakfast the next morning, which was average, we noticed that one of the 'hot' options were the left over chicken nuggets from the night before. When we paid our bill (approx 45 Euros without wine) we again spoke about our poor meal the night before and the response was to give us a packet of biscuits in compensation. On arrival home, we reecived an email asking us to give a 5/5 review. I am sorry to say that we can't do that.

The location is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The staff have paid close attention to every detail for dinner and breakfast. It's a beautiful space and they've made a beautiful bed & breakfast.
