Motel 6 Austin, TX - North

Couple of dead flies in the corner of the room. Saw 2 live cockroaches over 4 days, clearly dazed from insecticide because they didn't try to run. Some mold on the bathroom walls but shower head and floor were clean. Room door does not fully seal, small amount of rain pooled on the floor as a result. You can hear all of the highway traffic too but the hotel is literally right off I-35 so that's to be expected. Had to ask for new room key after 2 nights when it suddenly stopped working. Staff were very helpful and quick, never had to stand at the front desk longer than 5 minutes. If you want new towels, make sure you ask in the afternoon because they rarely had any available in the morning or evenings.

There was not hot water in the room. The refrigerator did not work (at all). There was no bedspread on the bed, (ust sheets). No wash clothes in the room. and there was a hole (soft spot) in the middle of the floor. The entire facility was old and well worn.

Transit stop nearby connecting to rapid bus route. Close to freeway and inevitable traffic noise but tolerable.

Please avoid this cheap hotel. All picture are old and property is in distress. Most room are highway facing and you wont be even able to sleep as noise is so loud and widows and doors are from 1950s with no sound proofing. I generally have decent experience with motel 6 but avoid this one , sepnd $15 more for a better motel/hotel room.

Staff-friendly. Studio was located off 183 Hwy and in a nice neighborhood. Studio had all needs. Park like environment in parking area.

This motel is very inexpensive. you get what you pay for! It is in the worst part of austin. The room was dated the bed was terrible. Avoid!!!!!

Not a good area, the smoke alarm kept going off in our non smoking room scaring my children, and even after calling the office it kept going off. Ice machines broken.

First room was very dirty Second one was also but was not as bad as the previous room so we stayed because my kids were tired and so was I.

Noises off highway, bad neighborhood. Patrons were asking for money by knocking at room door at all hours of night and day.
