Hotel in zona Possum Ladder, Auckland

On March 13 to March 15, I stayed at the Intercontinental Auckland. My first night at that hotel was probably the worst of any hotel stay in my life. We arrived at 930AM from international flight from the US. The hotel did not have a room ready, which was understandable. There actually were rooms ready, but the front desk did not want to assign an upgrade. The bell hop held our bags and was to place our bags into the assigned room. We come back at 515PM, get the room keys. We go to the room and we cannot enter the room because the security flapper was closed. We go back to the front desk. The assistant manager goes up with us to the room. Of course, he cannot open the door. We are told to go to dinner, and the hotel would cover half of dinner. At 630PM, we are given another room, and told that dinner would all be comped. We wait in the new room for 4 more hours. Just after 1020PM, a bellhop brought us our bags. We waited 5 hours for our bags. We were tired after a 16-hour flight. We needed our meds and our CPAP machine. During this period there were numerous conversations of we’re doing the best we can. Hogwash! I spoke to the assistant manager at our room’s door at approximately 730PM. I told him he needed to drill the locks on the interconnecting doors. Because you see, our room was identical to the previous room. We only reserved one room. The assigned rooms had interconnecting doors. We suspect that the person who put our bags into the first room, exited from the other room after closing the shared doors. That person never checked our room’s security flapper. Comping our dinner, did nothing for the situation. The hotel should have put us in the nicest suite available. As that would have been the best service recovery! I know they were available, because I checked the IHG app. Instead, we get verbal apologies that never addressed our needs!!! Hello, we could have had a medical emergency, and this hotel plays with keys? There was no formal apology from the general manager, who never seemed to get involved. The comedy of errors and lack of empathy was astounding. At one point, I felt that the hotel was insinuating that somehow, we did this! Like really, how is that possible? The actual hotel is very nice. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The location cannot be beat if one is leaving on a cruise from Auckland. BUT, we would never stay at this hotel again! The actual operation of the hotel is very poor for a 5-star property. There is no good reason for what happened to us. I left after our 2 night stay, furious, aggravated and disappointed!!!

La stanza stessa è bella e pulita, ha le basi e la doccia è buona, ma il rumore del posto lo lasci sgombrare. Ecos attraverso la sala e chiudere le porte costantemente attraverso la notte, poi un alto allarme porta aperta per 2 ore di prima cosa al mattino. Il letto e le mutande erano comodi, ma il nostro letto era mancato un piede intero!!! Il fango era incredibilmente notabile e ha contribuito a un sonno medio. Ho chiesto un parcheggio a prenotazione due mesi prima e sono arrivato a trovare non c'era nessuno disponibile e la mia richiesta è stata respinta. Il costo del parcheggio sicuro al di sopra dell'hotel è aumentato fino a quello che sarebbe stato un hotel decente. La sua posizione è stata adattata per un concerto a Spark Arena, ma non mi fermero' di nuovo.

L'Holiday Inn Express è uno dei miei hotel preferiti durante il mio soggiorno in Nuova Zelanda 2-week. Situato nel cuore della zona cbd di Auckland e vicino a tutto (supposti, ristoranti, bar, porto). È un passo 6-minute alla Sky Tower dove si può prendere l'autobus Airport Express per $17 nzd. L'ingresso dell'hotel è in un inclinamento significativo. La reception è al secondo piano che si può prendere un ascensore o un escalatore. La caffetteria e il piccolo salone sono a destra del ricevimento. Il colazione è stato il solito uova scrambled, salsa, ham, toast, yogurt, cereali, frutta, muffin e altre pasticcerie. A causa del grande volume di clienti, le due macchine da caffè erano di solito basse sul latte per preparare alcune bevande da caffè.Amo la stanza. Il giardino è sul bagno e ha abbastanza spazio per il bagaglio. La doccia è chiusa in un cubo di vetro con disegni d'onda. Un luce notturna nella camera da bagno ha risparmiato energia se avete bisogno di un po' di luce per muoversi intorno alla stanza. Il letto era comodo e l'a/c ha funzionato. Il personale della reception mi ha fatto stare un'ora di più dopo l'ora di check-out per la stanza che avevo con la mia tour. La stanza che ho prenotato dopo la tour era pronta e mi sono resa a casa alle 11:00 prima della mia tour. La costruzione si sta verificando intorno all'hotel, con le strade in rovina e un nuovo edificio in costruzione vicino all'hotel.

Controllo rapido in corso, completa attrezzature e comoda camera. Controllo espresso e soggiorno piacevole. Pequena emissione con cassa di sicurezza che mantiene lo stato di errore. Tuttavia, concierge aiuta a aprirlo con chiave. Problema risolto. La ricezione era gentile e dava a mio figlio un giocattolo di meraviglia. Situazione dell'hotel in zona turistica e collegato a ******, così tante persone in quartiere con scelte di ristorante, bar e mini-mart che si apre fino a tardi.

The hotel is in a very good location, which is near the sky tower where you can take the air bus to or from Auckland airport. There are a lot of shops and restaurants near by. The room is clean and with all that we need. The breakfast is very good, especially the croissant😋

Stayed at Lylo for 3-4 days and it's probably the best hostel I've ever stayed at. You check in on a device however there is a receptionist near in case you need anything. Il design è fantastico, così come le camere/spazi di lavoro comuni, è molto nuovo e ristrutturato al momento, quindi sembra davvero fantastico. Ci sono WiFi gratuita, una cucina comune e bagni su ogni piano. Il ristorante e il bar, si ottiene una carta per un drink gratuito! Ho soggiornato in una camera privata e in bagno condiviso, il pavimento era super pulito e tranquillo. La stanza stessa era bella e tedesca, ci mancavamo alcune cose come un bicchiere di rubino (non sapevamo che le camere venivano con uno finché non vedevamo qualcun altro sul nostro piano con uno). Penso che sarebbe stato bello se la stanza fosse venuta con una TV o una cassaforte, ma la stanza era grande per il prezzo così non si può lamentare troppo :) posizione è centrale e facile accesso a tutto all'interno della città.

Quite pleasant, well set out , would book there again. Right in the centre of Auckland, handy to everything in the CBD. Parking is a problem, rang ahead to try and book, was told it's ”first come first served ”, when we got there my partner asked about parking and was told there was none available, but the people arriving after us were given a spot...the parking was in the 10min drop off spots...so be aware if you arrive late but before the freeman ends finding a spot to stop and book in might be difficult.

Tutto il personale era fantastico. Sono stati gentili, disponibili e hanno sempre risposto alle domande in modo conciso. L'hotel in sé è molto datato. La porta principale della nostra stanza aveva un ampio spazio sotto di essa, il che significa che i rumori dal corridoio erano più forti del previsto. Anche il lavandino del bagno era molto piccolo, cosa che personalmente non mi piaceva. Ma tutto ha funzionato. Sono stato grato che ci sia una lavanderia con lavatrici e asciugatrici ad uso degli ospiti.

The location is fantastic and close to shops and eateries. Complimentary coffee was nice & appreciated the microwave, plates and cutlery etc. Staff very friendly. The airport shuttle bus comes to the Ibis for door to door pickups with only NZD 6/pp. I would definitely suggest dining in the fantastic restaurant next door - Szimpla. Always busy, but just relax, the food is worth it.
