Hotel a Auckland, Royal Oak

A fantastic experience of our 7-nights staying in Royal Residency! The apartment is conveniently located in a local suburb, closed to almost all big names supermarkets especially with a few Asian Grocery nearby. Commute to CBD or hot spots via driving is easy! The apartment is quite new and is properly housekeeped and managed. Tanishq was very responsive to all our requests, really appreciated! Just one last point… the oven should have been checked prior to our arrival. We will definitely stay again if we ever have a chance coming back to New Zealand!

Decent Experience at Dukes Midway Lodge Auckland I recently visited the accommodation in Auckland, and while it was an okay experience, it didn’t quite stand out. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff were friendly, but the service felt a bit slow at times. The menu had a decent variety, and the food was solid, though not particularly memorable. It felt like something was missing to make it truly exceptional. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a casual visit, but if you’re looking for something unique or extraordinary, there might be better options around. It’s fine for what it is, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression.

La posizione è perfetta, situato nel cuore del centro della città, a 1 min a piedi dal più vicino conteggio/woolworth. È meglio per il viaggiatore prima gamba in Nuova Zelanda. C'è un grande spazio comune, si incontra un sacco di bagagli che si può scambiare informazioni. Molto raccomandato. L'unica cosa breve è che l'acqua nel doccia è troppo bassa, è come l'acqua spray su di voi.

We had a good room this time. Previously, we had a room on level one. It was more like a dungeon. This time we requested a room on a higher level and got one on level nine. Much, much better. Clean and tidy. Breakfast was included in the room price. Unfortunately, they don't do cooked breakfast anymore. We only found this out on our arrival. The contintal breakfast is very basic and not woth paying for. Be warned, the car park costs an additional $35 a night, you have to request a space but it is not guaranteed. I'd still say it's good value for money for a one night stay.

I am travelling with family with kids and elderly. The grand is probably the best central location that you can find in Auckland if you are taking public transport. The pickup and dropoff for Skybus to Auckland airport is a 5 min walk away. The surrounding has plenty of restaurants including japanese & Chinese food. Facilities wise it has a gym and a heated swimming pool which the kids enjoy. Room is clean & spacious. Hotel price wise is on a high but weighing all the plus points, I will book it again for all the reasons above.

Sky tower locates in the CBD, where you get access to any tourism sites. No need to take bus or train to shopping area. The car parking service is great which saves us a lot of budget.

Мне очень понравился отель! У меня был шикарный номер со стиральной машиной, кухней, большой кроватью, рабочим местом и видом на башню. При заселении попросили 500 $ депозит. Немного неожиданно большой, но при выселении вернули. На кухне отличная новая техника. Я с большим удовольствием пользовался духовкой. Есть проблемы с интернетом. Не подключается, падает подключение с ошибкой. Надо много раз пытаться подключиться снова. Раза с 5го подключается. На пульте климат контроля можно установить любую температуру, но если ставишь 23-24 градусов, то не сразу начинает греть, а спустя минут 5-10. Удобное офисное кресло. Можно посидеть поработать за столом. Мне разрешили чуть раньше заселиться и выселиться ночью тоже можно было так как стойка регистрации круглосуточная. Есть ресторан с завтраками со шведским столом.

The hotel is just everything you need in Auckland. We booked a one-bedroom suite, with a double bed and a sofa bed that can fit us 3 well. There are enough amenities for travellers abroad from washing/dryer machine, microwave, oven, fridge, stove, kitchenware, dining table. Housekeeping is daily so this helps clear the rubbish in the room much. Staff is helpful and you get to use anytime fitness for free (we didn't use it though). Walking distance to 24/7 shop, Woolworths, Sky Tower, Les Mills Auckland City, Britomart, University of Auckland. The only downsides for us are unstable hot shower and air con is a bit stingy. But during our stay it's cold enough that we don't need Aircon. We'll definitely come back here if we travel to Auckland.

This hotel sits almost next to the Sky City and Sky Towers and very close to the airport bus stops but is a long walk towards the harbour. So it depends what your intention was. Other than that we didn't use any of the facilities or breakfast so there is not much to comment on their qualities. The check in was a bit of slow as the staff seemed too distracted by a chatty customer in front of us to clear the queue first.

The location was excellent, right in the heart of the Auckland CBD, close to everything. No complaints about the service either. However the hot plate stoves did not work but we didn’t complain about it as we were not intending to use it anyway. The only complaint is that there was a faint odor of either cigarette or vape that you only noticed when ever you first entered the room. We thought we could live with it but it somehow did affect our sleep.
