We chose this property - as it was very close to the Lakewood Amphitheatre, where we were to attend a concert that evening.
From the moment we arrived, to our departure the next morning - I couldn't believe this was a Radisson property - and that I paid the $123 USD (inclusive of taxes) to stay there.
As you see in the attached photos, this property is in desperate need of care.
Below is a list highlighting our room and the property's deficiencies:
Unkempt/dirty carpets throughout (our room, hallways)
Floor in our bathroom was dirty/unswept
There was only one (1) wastebasket in the room - none in our bathroom
Plumbing in our bathroom toilet needs addressing (had to flush at least twice each time used, regardless of content)
Peeling paint in our bathroom (ceiling)
Baby roaches in our bathroom (floor near toilet, in sink)
Multiple rips/pulls in the carpet (throughout our room)
Blood or other type of RED stain in carpet (outside of bathroom in our room)
The Iron in our room was on its last legs - was malfunctioning
There was only one (1) comforter in room's closet for use - rather than two (2)
The power ***** on the desk was non-functional
The hotel's breakfast offerings were carbohydrate-rich (toast, waffles, biscuits & gravy, cereals); no yogurt, no additional fruits (only apples were offered), no fruit muffins, etc. Only regular coffee was offered, no decaf. No sugar-free creamer available.
Since we were going to be late returning from the concert, we inquired if we could check out at Noon on Sun., Aug. 7 - rather than 11 a.m. The desk agent shared it would be an additional $40 fee for that extra hour of stay. In my opinion, as a former veteran travel agent - that is outrageous.
When going to check out of the hotel, there was a clear container with a note directing us to drop our keys in it. The desk agent was sitting in an alcove next to the front desk (we could see her), scanning her smartphone. She was not physically staffing the desk - there to ask us how our stay was, did not provide a printed receipt (I understand these days many folks may not want/need one, yet it would have been nice if she would have offered). She did see us and said "Have a blessed day" - yet all the while without looking up from her smartphone. Again, in my opinion - this is quite unprofessional and indicative of our current culture (no one wants to work). From my recollection and consistent promotion and booking of Radisson properties during my time as a corporate and leisure travel agent (1986-1998), this is quite out of character for the Radisson brand.
The property itself was quite plain - no attractive plants or seasonal flowers planted in/near the front entrance to welcome the traveler.
As a result of the above, I cannot recommend this property (nor other Radisson properties) to anyone. I regret I paid such an amount to stay there.
