Clean, efficient and easy to locate. Older facility,but very clean. The area surrounding the motel is safe and clean. Great staff make this a regular stop over for us while traveling.

We are Igh members and thought having a tiny kitchen would be nice. Hotel has a smell like old wet carpet. People are leaving outside door propped open so safety protocols not enforced. The room -smelled. Old, broken burner top. It worked then it did not. Ice marker not working. Tub spout not even touching the tub. The tile by toilet broken missing —- really run downed hotel. Never again.

Room 208 has cockroaches. Management said that the room had been sprayed the day before we were there. When I asked for a refund, management told me that I should have asked them for a different room. However, she couldn’t guarantee me a bug free room. I would never recommend this place.

Beware that they overbook and will use their “policy” of, if you reside within 50 miles of the hotel, we can cancel your room at our discretion. This policy was never stated, in writing anywhere, or mentioned until the hotel overbooked and replaced lower price rooms be booked with higher ones. Not a smart business model but used here. We had reservations for months before we were told 2 weeks prior to our arrival that the room was cancelled. By that time, there were no rooms within many miles of Athens. You give IHG a bad name. I’m sure corporate doesn’t approve of it but from what I understand, you make your own policies. Similar to gas stations gouging customers during a hurricane, all in the name of revenue.

The foul stench in the hallway when we came off the elevator was off putting but, it was the smell of stagnant cigarette smoke that hit our noses the moment we opened the door to the room that did us in. It got even worse when we turned the air conditioner on. We frequently stay at IHG facilities while we are traveling and this is the first one we wanted to leave immediately upon arrival. I would skip this facility and find another one immediately.
