Wonderful quaint guesthouse in Nubian style on the West Bank. There are multiple options in Aswan - east bank where the souk, main road etc is - Elephantine island, accessible by boat/public ferry - and the West Bank Added value of West Bank is that its quieter and secluded but which also means more difficult to access. Nice view of the Aswan lights, feluccas, cruise boats etc Next to noble temples but for most of other “attractions” one needs to cross the Nile to meet chauffeur, get taxi, walk etc They will ferry you back and forth - but an Egyptian cell phone number or internet access is needed to contact them for pick up. There’s also a public ferry (women and men are seated seperately) + tuk tuk (5LEP) The owner Taha speaks English well and is willing to help, but works during the day His brother Saba less so but may be language barrier. Arrived in the morning with night train from Cairo. Picked us up with motorboat. And we were kind of left to figure stuff out, whilst we would have appreciated some explanation about how to get to /from Aswan, organise a trip to Phillae temple and Abu Simbel. Once we had the owner on the phone things were more clear and we managed to make a plan. And they were most helpful 4 rooms Garden area is lovely Didn’t have dinner there Do not serve alcohol Breakfast good All in all a good spot Relaxing Just keep above in mind and you are all set!
