Hotel a Asuncion, Paraguay

I arrived on 12 th of march after flying over from europe. I spent the day exchanging money, had a tour around Asuncion, had dinner, and afterwards I just wanted to sleep. But sleeping is a no go in this hotel, because there is this bar Acuarela on the top, where the swimming pool is. And they play music so load, that the walls are shaking. I went up there to complain, but the music up there is so load, that you have to stick the finger in yout ears, and nobody understands you or wants to understand you anyway. I was really, really tired, but the basses were too loud. I tried to relax, but how can you relax with basses imitating fast heart beats. I hoped the music would stop at 12.00 o clock, but it did not. Then I hoped it would stop at 1.00 o clock, but it did not. Then I hoped, it would stop at 3 o clock, but the music went on and on even harder than before. The discjockey probably is deaf. At 5 o clock I finally gave up hope, and got up, as I had to leave the hotel at 8 o clock anyway. Eventually I went down to have breakfast, where the next disappointment waited for me: No breakfast buffet at all, but just one waiter, you have to wait for. Eventually he finds the time to ask you what kind of coffee you want. And then you have to wait again, and all you get is a very small breakfast ( 1 small croissant, 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice of ham, jam and your coffee). Conclusion: Go somewhere else if you want to enjoy a good night s sleep. Avoid this hotel as it is not a hotel but a discothec.

Let me start with the pros about this hotel. It is in a very good and secure location near restaurants and shopping. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is a nice swimming pool on the top floor and a fairly well-equipped gym as well. There is a spa where you can get a good massage for a reasonable price. The hotel restaurant, Tacuare’e, serves excellent food and the service is top notch. The breakfasts have a fairly good selection of food, but it literally never changes. It is the same thing every day. It would have been nice to have a change since we were there for three weeks. The coffee is awful and you are charged extra for cappuccino, etc. Now let me talk a little about some of the cons. This is what I would call a minimalist hotel and I really should write minimalist in capital letters. The lobby is plain and boring and the rest of the hotel follows its example. The walls are white and literally devoid of any color or decorations of any kind – no pictures, nothing. That goes for the rooms as well. There is nowhere comfortable to sit in the lobby either. They have what looks like oversized mattresses that rest on the floor and are up against the wall, but there are no back rests. They look cheap and believe me, they are uncomfortable. Speaking of uncomfortable, the rooms have very little in the way of furniture – a small desk with a chair and another chair that is not only hard, but extremely uncomfortable. The closets are small with very little shelf space and there were only 4 clothes hangers. There were no drawers to store clothing. There was nowhere to place luggage and we came with a lot. Although the bathroom was clean, it smelled. It was the first thing we noticed each time we came into our room. Although the hotel tries to be accommodating, it needs significant improvement. We often had to ask multiple times for things we needed before they finally appeared in our room: extra hangers, something to put our luggage on, etc. Housekeeping was often slow and our room was not cleaned two times during our stay. And finally, according to the rules for 4-star hotels, one bottle of water per guest should be provided free of charge. The only water was in the minibar and we were charged for it. Although we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, we probably won’t be going back. There are other more attractive options in the area.

Abbiamo trascorso due giorni qui dopo una settimana in campagna. Siamo stati riconosciuti come Spire Elite e aggiornati al #601 come ho chiesto perché ha una vista sul fiume. La stanza era senza spot, comoda, grande tubo con una passeggiata in doccia. Una vasta selezione di canali sulla TV. Piscina grande a cinque. L'acqua era fredda ma pulita. Il salone del club è chiuso, quindi il colazione era nel salone di livello stradale e l'ora felice. Pochi ospiti a causa della quarantena. Aureliano ci ha controllati e le altre signore alla reception sono sempre utili, consiglierei questo hotel a chiunque e restiamo qui quando torneremo.

The Palmaroga Hotel is my favorite hotel in downtown Asuncion. The historic building has been beautifully restored, the rooms are elegant and comfortable, the rooftop terrace with its poo and view is wonderful, and most importantly the staff are exceptional. The people who work at reception and at the door are always ready to greet guests warmly and to provide friendly and authentic service. The hotel has a good restaurant on site, a steakhouse next door, and is walking distance from many other excellent dining options. Within walking distance to all major points of interest in the downtown area. 10 puntos!

Ho prenotato due notti per mia moglie e io e suo fratello con sua moglie e due bambini adolescenti. Questo era l'hotel ”” negli anni '60 e non sembrava molto cambiato. Il frigo era quasi raffreddato e non c'era alcun prezzo postato sul frigo. Le camere sono stranamente architettate e la vista è stata attraverso grandi chiavi esterne che sono necessari per l'intenso luce solare. Il condizionamento d'aria era buono una volta che la custodia di casa me l'ha messo! TV adeguata. Bagno con bel bagno. Camera era senza spot ma datata. Letto era comodo. La piscina sul terzo piano è molto grande, non riscaldato ma pericoloso. Tutte le cose pre ADA non esistenti. L'acqua era pulita. Tutti avevano un bel tempo. Ci era anche una grande quantità di sedie a ponte e una grande vista sul parco. Questo hotel è c la migliore posizione nel centro di Asuncion. Servizio alimentare disponibile piscina a prezzi ragionevoli. Il buffet per colazione era molto buono con molti frutti freschi. Ho ordinato uova fritte e sono stato pagato circa 50 centesimi ciascuno! Il personale dell'hotel era molto amichevole. Il nostro nipote di 13 anni era in cielo perché anche le squadre di calcio rimangono qui. Il parcheggio sotterraneo è stato un'esperienza. Rimarremo qui in viaggio di ritorno al Paraguay andjoy la piscina consente il tempo.

Il hotel è pulito, tempestivo, ben situato e accogliente. Non ci sono scarpe o bagni, si dispone di una caldaia con pochi tazze di tè e un tavolo da caffè (non sicuramente perché solo uno per due persone), piccolo frigo e buon aria condizionata. La porta scorrevole alla toilette/ducha è stata solo negativa, molto difficile da aprire dal lato della toilette. Colazione sul pavimento non eccitante, molto standard hotel di azienda. Personale ovunque amichevole e utile. La reception può fornire una mappa di Asuncion. Uber è stato usato per andare in giro, che ha funzionato bene Nell'hotel è Del Sol, un centro commerciale occidentale - aria condizionata e altri ristoranti

El hotel es comodo, accesible, el servicio es muy bueno, el buffete esta bien, el servicio es excelente la atencion siempre es amable. Las habitaciones son basicas, sencillas, suficientes, relacion costo beneficio es muy superior el beneficio. La comida y el servicio a cuartos es muy buena, los tragos bien preparados El servicio de restaurante y de desayuno, siempre con una sonrisa Graciela y Milagros muy atentas

We checked in and were given a room at the front. We had been up since very early in the morning and were tired by early evening but the room was very noisy due to a nightclub next door. We went to reception and asked the man on the desk to be moved to a quieter room - he told us the hotel was full and there were no rooms available. He really wasn't interested in what we had to say. We went back to the room and tried to sleep but the noise carried on until almost 6am. The room was also very shabby, dirty and run down. In the morning we went back to reception and a very helpful lady not only gave us the choice of rooms but also upgraded us to a suite. This room was at the back of the hotel so very quiet and very large; however the room was very grubby and run down- the net curtains were filthy along the bottom and the bed covers had stains on them. Swimming pool area is fine but only about half a dozen sunbeds and no shades for them though there are some tables and chairs to sit at. Breakfast was good. This hotel has the potential to be a lovely hotel but it needs a lot of upgrading and cleaning - they also need to get rid of the man on reception as he really isn't interested in the customers who are paying his wages.
