Bella Vista Motel Ashburton

Bella Vista Motels always have nice comfortable accommodation at good prices. Staying in Ashburton this time lovely unit very clean and tidy well worth trying next time you're looking for a good motel. With Bella Vista all over New Zealand you shouldn't be disappointed when staying with them.

It was a pleasant stay. Easy to find and near town. We arrived late, we phoned ahead and let them know and they were not fazed. Organised things for us. Restful sleep, nice ambience. Had breakfast nearby, then on our way. Easy access to get onward to Christchurch.

Greeted warmly by the manager who dealt with the formality of checking in and receiving payment. The room was located on a second-floor level furthest from the Main Road on which the Motel is located. The size of the room was adequate, with a large comfortable king-size bed taking up most of the available space. There was also a singular chair available which meant (being a couple) one of us had to sit on the bed to watch a wall (but non-adjustable) wall-mounted television. The room had plenty of lighting, which was essential given the lack of daylight able to penetrate. Heating was also provided, and essential. A large amount of complimentary tea/coffee was provided along with a jug (which needed to be filled through the spout as the top appeared to be unopenable). The bathroom was of an adequate size. Heating here, however, was entirely ineffective. Complimentary toiletries consisted of a handwash pump which was almost non-functioning and shower gel which was so diluted or ineffective that obtaining a lather was next to impossible. Resorted to using one’s own to achieve a sense of cleanliness. The shower pressure itself was, however, particularly good despite the difficulty of adjusting the nozzle. Despite the room’s location, there was still a considerable amount of road noise being able to be heard from the main Road. Its location is a little distant from the main township although there is a restaurant within 10 minutes' walk that provides a discount to those staying at the Motel. Okay for a night’s stay.
