Hotel in zona S&B, Dornach

La camera era più piccola del previsto, ma era ok. La colazione è semplicemente mediocre Penso che il servizio fosse buono. La posizione è vicino allo stadio Messe, quindi il trasporto è comodo ed è facile spostarsi nella periferia orientale di Monaco.

hotel già usato in passato. Al quarto soggiorno devo dire che è nelle mie piene aspettative. Il prezzo del soggiorno è corretto nei giorni normali di calendario, ma durante le fiere raddoppia. Questo è l'unico aspetto non comprensibile

We spent a weekend there in June 2023, Friday through Sunday. Location: right next to a shopping mall (Riem Arcaden) with supermarkets and food places among many others. Parking: shared parking with shopping mall, designated elevator to the hotel lobby. Parking fee 20 to 25 euros per night. Overall impression: clean, light, modern. Check in and check out: fast and polite. Room: average size, very clean, small bathroom. We paid 75 euros per night per room (two people) and for this rate everything was as good as or even better than expected. One issue: no door bolt / security latch! In total we give four and a half stars for the hotel. We would have given five stars if there had been a door bolt and some smiles from the front desk staff as we walked by. Restaurant: Evening service one star / breakfast service four stars. We wanted to have dinner at the restaurant. My son ordered a Schnitzel which was half the size it used to be before covid (we used to stay at this hotel 3 times a year up until 2020). He was still hungry afterwards. The Schnitzel cost 28 euros. I am coeliac and often encounter problems finding food in German restaurants. I spoke to a very friendly waiter about it who was trying to be helpful but failed miserably (not his fault). He had no idea what gluten-free meant and he wasn't fluent in German nor English. He went to the kitchen and came back with some information. Not good enough. Went back to the kitchen and came back with some more information. Still not entirely helpful. There was a side order of vegetables on the menue with a dish. I asked if I could just get a side order of plain vegetables. No, I couldn't. It was not a matter of pricing, the waiter just didn't understand what I wanted from him and kept running back to the kitchen to ask but there didn't seem anybody available to deal with my request. I decided not to eat and ordered just a small non-alcoholic wine. Got a large one instead (was only charged for a small one but they couldn't get this right either). To summarize: my son and I were the only people in the restaurant. One might wonder why. We tried to order four items in total: Schnitzel, coke, side order of veggies, non-alcoholic wine. They failed on two out of four. The restaurant really deserves zero stars from us, however, we feel one star should go to the waiter who really tried hard and remained friendly throughout! Breakfast service started out just as bad. Upon check in I had asked if they offered gluten-free options and I was told it would not be a problem. First, however, it was. The first check in lady (younger) I spoke to was in training but didn't get help from somebody experienced. She just pointed me to the two gluten-free items offered in the buffet area but couldn't not answer my questions as to whether any bread could be warmed up for me in the kitchen. This is a really nice hotel, near the Munich Messe, but quite a way out of the central area of the city. No restaurants near the hotel, so dinner in the hotel is recommendable, except for the Friday Night buffet, which is overpriced and not as nice as menu ordered foods in other nights. There are restaurants in the Arcaden, Mall. But I don;t know if they are open at night. The hotel and staff are very nice though.

I was glad to have chosen this hotel for a 3-night stay. The room was cozy but clean, everything in very good condition, big variety of choices for breakfast actually I don't think there was anything you couldn't get for breakfast and the manager at the breakfast area is a very friendly guy that welcomes you with a smile. The staff at the reception were also very friendly and helpful. Apart from the in-house restaurant which is very good there are also some very good restaurants at walking distance. It takes 15 min to the Messe and the bus stop is right across the street. Will most probably stay again as the location is very convenient to me for either getting fast to Munich or driving to Manching. The area is also very quiet for an undisturbed night sleep. I would only wish that there were some umbrellas or something similar at the nice quiet back terrace protecting from rain.

I had originally planned for 2 nights at this property, but due to communication difficulty with the car rental company on off hours pick-up, I ended only staying 1 night at this property. This property is a faily new property - and seemed to be built based on the European Hilton Garden Inn standard design. Location The property is located actually outside of Munich city centre area, but in a smaller village area where the Messe or Covention centre is located. There are not much to do around the area - as it's surrounded mainly by office buildings and warehouses. New modern Hilton Garden Inn, friendly staffThe only other option outside of having your own car/taxi is by public transportation which will involve 1-2 transfers. Therefore not really recommended for those who would want to use this property as base (without a car) to explore Munich. At least for now, parking is complimentary (which should be) at the attached parking garage next to the property. Check In I arrived just after 8 pm at the property and the lobby area was actually very busy with lots of guests drinking and eating at the bar and the on-site restaurant. However since there was no one checking in, I was able to check-in immediately with the sole front desk agent. He was very friendly and made me feel very welcomed. I was also thanked for my loyalty as a HHonors elite. I tried to actually ask if there was any Kings room available - since I could not book this online, but was told sadly it was not available as the hotel was rather full. I was also informed about breakfast information - which was served at the on-site restaurant. Room The room was located on the 4th floor and although with the twin beds, it was ok in size. There was a small sofa located close to the windows. View of the room was just towards the main parking area and parking decks of the hotel. As it was becoming a trend, the property too did not have any minibar facility - but it was with the usual coffee/tea making amenities. Other than that, the rest of the furnishing was the usual - basic but functional. They did include 2 small bottles of water - one still and one sparkling. They also left a nice plate of cheesecake as a welcome amenity - which was very welcomed. Internet speed was ok, and the TV was large with modern functionalities including streaming options. Sleep quality was good - although climate control was not really the best (like a lot of properties in Gemany) it had limited cooling. In the end I slept with the windown open as this did help to cool down the room - after switching off the airco unit. Bathroom size was ok with a walk in shower. I was actually surprised that so far I have not seen one newer property with the new wall mounted toiletries from the Zero range - still providing the older toiletries in individual bottles from Crabtree & Evelyn. Hotel fuori città ma perfettamente collegato con la SBahn tramite un bus che è proprio dietro l’angolo o per chi viaggia in auto in un paio di minuti e poi x Monaco ci si impiega 15 minuti e si arriva direttamente a Marienplatz. Noi ci siamo spostati divinamente! Parcheggio sia esterno sia sotterraneo gratuito. Macchinetta per il ghiaccio, pulisci scarpe, dispense cibi veloci, tutte le mini guide dei luoghi da visitare a disposizione. Pulizia super in camera e nei luoghi comuni. Colazione molto assortita: mio marito e mio figlio sono impazziti per la macchina dei pancake con a fianco scelta di diverse marmellate, miele e immmancabile nutella ed io ho apprezzato molto la macchinetta dei succhi molto buoni soprattutto quello alla mela, pretzel e panini vari, croissant, macedonia, dolcivi di mela, pane x toast, affettati formaggi etc. Buone anche le bevande calde fatte con una super franke e presente anche una vasta scelta di te. La stanza non era grande ma giusta e comoda x 3, letto molto comodo, bagno fornito di shampoo bagnoschiuma e sapone viso-mani ma non in formato classico mignon da albergo ma bensì formato grande. Una vera comodità. Personale molto gentile e se tornerò a Monaco sicuramente tornerò qui senza nemmeno cercare altro perché c è tutto con un ottimo rapporto prezzo. Grazie a tutti

4 notti trascorse senza alcun problema, reception aperta H24 e personale estremamente disponibile (se avete bisogno su cauzione hanno tutti i tipi di adattatori elettrici possibili e immaginabili). Camera da 8 letti con 2 bagni e 2 docce, quindi niente fila, ben 4 prese di corrente oltre a 1 USB sul proprio letto, locker per il bagaglio con combinazione e ulteriore piccolo ”portagioie” sempre con combinazione sul letto. Bella cucina in comune e zona lounge. Tra le pecche, sicuramente 2 soli ascensori per 7 piani di ostello e il doversi preparare il letto da soli (arrivando a tarda sera si potrebbe anche disturbare gli altri ospiti), inoltre gli appendini in camera erano troppo pochi, si deve scegliere se appendere il proprio asciugamano oppure i propri vestiti. Il materasso era un po'duro per i miei gusti. Vicina alla stazione Est di Monaco, zona giovane e in rapido sviluppo, di sera ci sono diversi locali e club a pochi metri dall'ostello. In sostanza ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte solo per dormire sulla nostra strada verso la destinazione finale e per questo ha soddisfatto l'obiettivo. Camere tranquille e pulite e un buffet di colazione ricco. Nota: La colazione e l'iscrizione sono nel vicino Best Western Hotel.
