Hotel Goa Continental

Hot water not coming in tap, hotel caretaker has arranged heater for hot water. The towel's condition is very bad. Only 1 lit water bottle is provided for one day. Keep extra margin in arrangement for taxi and other tour services. Housekeeping is a good, very well maintained premises. Where to use that discount

We booked this hotel on previous reviews and location from *******. On arrival the first 4 rooms we were offered had major faults which included, lighting that wouldn't switch off. Broken air con. Broken fridge. Generally each room was disgusting and dirty. Mouldy pillows dirty bedding and towels aling with filthy showers. One room was basically a cupboard it had no windows at all. We wanted to change hotels but they refused a refund. We had booked for a month and had no choice but to stay or forfeit our money Manager eventually said he would get us new towels pillows and bedding and would get the room fully cleaned We agreed to give it a go..... Every day repeatedly we had problems no towels no toilet roll and no cleaning it was beyond a joke The swimming pool was dirty disgusting colour and oil floating on the surface Our balcony had no view it was obstructed by a green debris netting that was hanging We put up with this hotel for 2 weeks then we checked out and paid again for another hotel that was 100 % better. This is not a 3* hotel this is a hostel! where the staff are untrained in cleanliness/ cleaning and general hotel standards. The only redeeming quality was the room service I had to use when hubby was sick. The food was excellent and tasty and the restaurant staff were cheerful and helpful. I was actually totally shocked how good the food was Avoid this hotel and don't waste your money , a Goan dormouse would have better quality and standard

The photos of this hotel are a little misleading. The property is not as nice as shown but we were very happy there. The room was large and we had a large balcony overlooking the pool. The bed was comfortable. There is no "safe" as in a physical box to store your valuables but the room is very safe I was assured. Cameras on corridors and no one goes in except you unless you ask for cleaning. We were there over Diwali and the hotel was quiet at night even on the big night. On our last day we left at 5.15am and commented about the noise all night from group who checked in the day before. The reception *** said he had already had numerous complaints about them. Excellent location for us. We did not eat in the hotel but it is an easy walk into "town". Reception staff were very helpful and efficient when we asked for things. Extra pillow, clean the mud we had just dragged in, extra tea for room etc. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it. Fridge and kettle in the room are a bonus.
