Buitenplaats Petersburg

Great place to stay, we really enjoyed the accommodation. Check-in went smoothly, and then we were given a ride to the lodge in a golf cart with our bags. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Breakfast was delivered to the door each morning in a cool box. Dietary requirements were handled. All in all, it was a good experience. I didn't have too much trouble finding the place. There is a small parking area for guests outside the large barn style building. Apparently, it was used as an aircraft hanger during WW2.

Amazing modern cabins located in the woods, definitely recommended for a stay. However, the check-in procedure experienced by Buitenplaats Petersberg would easily have to be the worst I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I am still trying to come to terms with the behavior displayed from the woman working in reception, which in the politest way possible can only be described as rude, sarcastic, arrogant and absolutely disgusting, something that a guest should never experience! Unsuccessful in locating Buitenplaats Petersberg due to lack of lighting, no sufficient signage or any information displayed etc. we drove slowly towards an entrance to a barn (which was dimly litten up). Continuing to drive slowly in the car (as this provided the only light), we were unsure if this was the correct location. Once in the barn (approx 4m in from the entrance) a lady indicated that we were correct however she was in complete disbelief and flabbergasted in how and why we would drive into the barn entrance, which she called her "home". We tried to explain and apologised multiple times but she continued to complain about the situation leaving myself and my partner very uncomfortable and feeling awkward with the entire check-in process. Eventually after her whingeing we managed to get our key, only to find out after that her behavior that night was due to her wanting to be at a work dinner, and that she was hungry. Please take close note Buitenplaats Petersberg, if you DO NOT want guests driving into your barn or so called "home" at night then put up a fence! To avoid this problem Completely, create sufficient signage and information! to be extra helpful, assemble descent lighting so your guests can actually see where to go (and park)! And finally, employ someone that can work in reception that actually respects their guests, as a paying customer I don't care if the staff are hungry or if there is a work dinner on, I am paying for this! Thankfully the check-out process was a lot smoother and friendlier.

Laat je niet misleiden door de allereerste indruk wanneer je de lodges van buiten ziet: ze zijn prachtig. Super leuk ingericht en gelegen in het groen. We verbleven zelf in lodge nr. 2 die door de ligging veel privacy bood, zalig! Van daaruit met de fiets alles vlot bereikbaar (20 min fietsen tot Arnhem centrum). Heel lekker ontbijt met super vriendelijke bediening. Kortom een oase van rust in een prachtige omgeving.

Leuk verblijf in een bosje. Niet zo ver van de ingang van het Veluwe park. Op 7 km van het centrum van Arnhem. We verbleven hier om het Airborne museum te bezoeken en het jachthuis in het nationaal park. De huisjes zien er luxueuzer uit op de foto dan in werkelijkheid. Het bed ligt goed, de douche is ruim. Het ontbijt is niet overdreven uitgebreid maar is zeker voldoende en er wordt vriendelijk opgediend.

Bonjour, J’ai fait une réservation via une application auprès de cet établissement du jeudi 18/01 /2024 au vendredi 19/01/2024. Sur le chemin j’ai contacté l’établissement afin de les prévenir d’un retard potentiel du à un ralentissement (véhicules accidentées). La réponse de la personne était positive et compréhensive. On m’a cependant demandé de rappeler l’établissement plus tard (18h30) afin de les tenir au courant de l’évolution. Lorsque j’ai recontacté l’établissement comme convenu un (autre) employé très mécontent m’a tout d’abord dit que l’accueil de l’établissement fermait à 19h et que cette information était stipulée sur leur site. Ce à quoi j’ai répondu que mon retard était dû à un accident sur la route et qu’il m’était impossible de le prévoir. Cet employé m’a dit de retéléphoner à l’établissement une fois arrivé et qu’il viendrait m’accueillir. 20 minutes plus tard, on me recontacte de l’établissement ( un responsable) afin de m’expliquer qu’il n’y aurait personne pour m’accueillir et qu’il me faudrait trouver une autre alternative de logement et qu’une note avait été laissé afin de me rembourser. Je n’ai à l’heure actuelle (3 février) toujours pas été remboursé par cet établissement. Le service d’un établissement se mesure aussi à sa qualité lorsque les choses ne se déroulent pas comme prévus.

Leuk plek in het bos verstopt. Plaats wat meer verlichting op het moment dat het restaurant open is! Pizza prima en stoofpotje met zwijn smakelijk, maar kleine portie! Gelijk bij de ingang aan de hoge tafel zat een gast te werken en te eten, voor wij er zaten was hij er al en bij vertrek nog steeds. Zoveel "aanwezig " vonden wij nogal storend!! Binnen is er niets te beleven voor kids, ook niet wat betreft eten. Hopelijk komt hier verandering in.
