Zafiro Menorca

This is the second time we have visited Zafiro Menorca this year. First in August and then in October during half term. What sets this hotel part from other hotels is the staff. They are the nicest, attentive, hardworking and caring staff I’ve ever met. Nothing at all is too much trouble from the reception staff to the dining staff, pool and bar staff snd house keeping and maintainence staff. October was much quieter than August, however, the high standards stayed the same. Food was varied and lovely at the restaurant. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. Pool bar food was amazing. Varied and cooked quickly. We were all inclusive for both trips with drinks and cocktails included. The cocktails are some of the best I've tasted and the frozen Pomada was out of this world. We had a garden room which was clean and big enough for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 teenagers) . The room was cleaned daily and the main bed is extremely comfortable. The kids club is aimed at under 12's but my teenagers happily joined in the pool games in the summer and were happy to chill by the pool in October. Entertainment was varied, some nights better than others but the animation team were enthusiastic and got everyone involved. The outdoor pools were lovely in the summer. They were a bit chilly in October, however thats to be expected and we still managed a swim. We also used the indoor pool which was lovely and clean. We left Zafiro Menorca on the last day of the season. We could see work was commencing for the next season. We look forward to returning next year and seeing any changes. This is our 4th time at the Zafiro chain, every time we have visited a different branch. We are really enjoying Zafiro Menorca. The layout is great as the kids playground is right next to the evening entertainment and we can enjoy the show while the kids are playing. As usual the food is great and the drinks are a big highlight - very high quality cocktails and cava. The staff are so lovely and work very hard. I have been enjoying aqua gym and the dads have been doing shooting daily. The children (3 and 6) have been enjoying kids club and mini disco. Their favourite has been the water mat game. The pools are perfect, very warm water. Tip - if you have small kids stay near the pirate ship so you can use the bathroom of your room.

Upon arrival this hotel seems very well appointed. The communal areas are immaculate with lush foliage and a number of different pools to keep hotel guests busy. It is a bit of a walk to get to some of the hotel rooms but the rooms themselves are furnished to a high standard, only complaint was that they could be a bit bigger. My main problem with this hotel is it's absolute lack of regard for it's customers. Unfortunately, on the second to last day of our stay my 2 year old son contracted pharyngitis and had to be hospitalised on a drip. This was a very horrendous experience and not something I'd wish for anyone, especially whilst on holiday. The morning my son had to go to hospital I was a bit late coming down for breakfast because he had vomited all over the bed so we had to remove the sheets and give them to the cleaner. My husband had to take my younger son to hospital whilst I remained at the hotel with my older son (4 years). As I mentioned we were slightly late for breakfast. When we arrived they were closing the buffet but it was 2 minutes to closing time and I asked for a fried egg for my son and they basically refused, even though it was 2 minutes exactly to closing. I think this is totally unacceptable given that there were still 2 minutes left and especially after the ordeal I had just been through with my younger son. I asked to speak to the manager to complain. He was very rude and arrogant. He did not want to apologise or even take on board my feedback, probably because of my age / gender. I would never visit this hotel again. The manager does not care about the welfare of his guests and the breakfast staff were very rude and uncaring

Excellent stay hotel is clean the staff work very hard keeping it all clean. Life guards are friendly look after the children my daughter cut her foot & the lifeguard was brilliant & helped her straight away. Swimming pools are big hit the bubble pool is brilliant. The entertainment is good the kids loved the bubble show. Friendly helpful staff enjoyed the bar food & drinks would definitely recommend short walk to beach and shops

We have just returned from Zafiro Menorca this weekend, we had an amazing time, rooms are modern and kept very clean, reception is very welcoming and friendly, pools we brilliant and kept spotless. Restaurant and pool bar was fantastic food was really food and a good choice, drinks are served in glasses at the bars but if you take away they are in a plastic cup which makes perfect sense! Entertainment team are amazing and make sure everyone is included! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back next year!
