Hotel a Appin, Regno Unito

Have stayed here quite a few times in the past and was sorry to see how much it has deteriorated. Rooms are still quite comfortable, but not tidied or cleaned during the 3 days we stayed there and the broadband would not connect in the room because too far from the access point. However the food and drink was the biggest disappointment. Cloudy and sour Bellhaven replaced by Guinness that was about to go bad as well. Both my wife and I had a fillet steak which was tough and dry (and charged at £36 each). My replacement rib-eye was not bad although replaced with poor attitude. The following day a dry and tough cheeseburger and fish with soggy batter crisped up on the outside. On the final day some quite decent scallops thermidor. Breakfast was equally disappointing. In the past breakfast was served and had full Scottish as well as smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, kippers, tasty porridge etc. Now it is a sub-standard buffet of sausage and bacon and fried or scrambled eggs and no option for a continental.

Quando siamo arrivati lì abbiamo perso l'ora del pranzo, ma molto gentile ci hanno dato qualche parte di partenza! L'hotel era molto bello e il personale era sorprendente! Molto pulito un grande posto d! Certamente verrà a visitare g di nuovo!

La posizione dell'hotel è molto buona e il parcheggio è anche molto grande.Di fronte al Golfo e al porto, il paesaggio è bello.La stanza non è grande, la sensazione generale è molto vecchia, ma il rapporto prezzo qui è molto alto

We stayed for 2 nights for our wedding. The team helped on all accounts and the rose petals and champagne were the icing on the cake. The lodge we had was lodge 1, we were very private ,with trees to one side meaning no one was over looking us. The lodge was immaculate, high standard of finish throughout. The view was perfect for us, sunshine with a wee breeze and the midges really with the wood burner on as dusk came no bother to us . “Smidge” was included and we both used that before we ventured out, very helpful. I cannot fault the woodlands set up, if I am really looking to find anything maybe some throws to use would be nice to sit out later. Oh worth noting if you want some music do take a Bluetooth speaker as we didn’t want the projector and screen on but still wanted some music when watching rh view and sunset . The projector was fab though later and just casts whatever is on your phone no app or anything needed to use.

Anzitutto molto deluso dall’accoglienza alla nostra arrivo. Visibly we were in advance ( about 14h ) and the person of the accoglienza without any smile made us well understand. Siamo d'accordo che possiamo aspettare quando andiamo al ristorante per pranzo e ci dice che possiamo andare. Al ristorante ci disturbiamo visivamente, dopo un buon quarto d’ora di attesa vedremo il server che passava regolarmente davanti a noi senza rivolgerci un occhio o un buongiorno e che ci dice che è molto occupato.... ( very busy ! ) Il colazione è molto medio. Il ricevimento nella camera non è terribile, le coperte del letto sono appena tirate e la bagno è semplicemente fatto. Durante tutto il nostro soggiorno, 4 notti, i nostri asciugamani non sono stati cambiati. Globalmente il personale non è molto amabile né molto sorridente. Abbiamo adorato la nostra permanenza in Scozia, eravamo molto ben sistemati a Edimburgo e Inverness, ma qui non consiglio assolutamente questo alloggio. Purtroppo, è idealmente situato al lago con vista sulle montagne.
