"After reading the reviews I was pleasantly surprised by this hostel! It was a quaint little place, with a homely feel. The location was great, only a 12 minute drive from Apollo Bay, with a waterfall around the corner and an empty beach a 5 minute walk away! There’s farm animals around to look at, the place was clean and tidy, with a decent kitchen and communal areas. It is completely self-checkin and we saw no staff while there so be prepared for that! Overall, for the price, I would definitely be rebooking a stay here."

"With price they charge, the experience is way under expectation. I’ve stayed at this place a few years ago, back then there was a girl helping checkin checkout process and also handling cleaning, it was a great stay, so decided to come back here again. Now it’s no longer serviced by anyone. It’s completely self checkin but no instruction was sent before hand. We had to call owner ask for details, and took them ages to find our booking details. Any message sent from trip.com didn’t get respond at all. The room was not clean, spider webs everywhere, stain on bath towel etc. If anybody is walking in kitchen or walking outside, the noise is huge. For the price I paid for, it’s really disappointing stay. I won’t be back again."
Apollo Bay Seal Apartments
"We are a family of 8, and we rented the entire unit, both downstairs and upstairs, for our stay. The weather was cold during our visit, but the beds were equipped with heaters, which made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. Each floor has its own bathroom and kitchen, which was incredibly convenient for our large group. The bathrooms came with basic toiletries, although there was no toothpaste provided, so be sure to bring your own. The kitchens were well-equipped and functional, with simple seasonings like salt and pepper. We brought our own cooking oil, but everything else was perfect for preparing warm meals for dinner and breakfast. The homestay is located in Marengo. One thing to note is that there are no supermarkets in Marengo itself, but Apollo Bay is just a few minutes' drive away. We recommend stocking up on groceries there before arriving if you plan to cook during your stay. Parking was more than sufficient for our Kia Carnival 8-seater, so we had no trouble with that. The area is wonderfully quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. We had a truly pleasant stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious and comfortable place to stay."

"The park is close to the town of Apollo Bay...so many really nice places to dine✅ park is so well presented and amenities are really clean. We stayed on a powered site near the pool and playground. Park Had a fantastic camp kitchen with two bbqs internal and a pizza oven out on the covered verandah. Nice place to sit and watch kids play on the equipment while tea is cooking 🤗 not a long walk to the beach for a swim."
