Old Orleton Inn

Lovely pub area - friendly locals and excellent service from landlord. First floor Bedroom nicely done and lovely and warm - radiators you could control! Bathroom needs a bit of work around grouting but all in progress. Whole place very clean and a large private car park. It rained whilst we were there but must be great in summer with many areas to walk! We will be back.

My wife and I have just spent three nights at the Old Orleton. From walking in to register we were greeted warmly and friendly and that did not change throughout our stay. The manager and staff go the extra mile to make your stay special. The new rooms are excellent very comfortable and spotless. The bar is well stocked with locals calling in for a drink and a chat. I can highly recommend this hotel for leisure or business. Plenty of free parking for guests in the hotels car park. We will be returning in the near future.

We've found a new local! A lovely restaurant plate and palate owned separately from the bar and hotel. We ordered X2 beef Sunday dinners with a side of pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese. Absolutely incredible flavours and presentation, one of the best Sunday roasts I've ever had. A small family run business, very friendly & made us feel welcome. The pub is also just as lovely as are the staff, thankyou for making us feel welcome.

Excellent Saturday lunch with friendly, attentive service and good value too. We both had Steak sandwich with fries & salad, mine on ciabatta, and my wife's on gluten free bread. Delicious & plenty of tender meat. Food & drinks separately charged because different parts of the business.

Recently booked the Inn at the last minute as visiting Wellington for a birthday celebration within walking distance from it. Great little find! Plenty of parking space was a good start. Staff were brilliant, I had forgotten my phone charger, so without hesitation they helped with charging my phone! The room was lovely and spacious, with a very comfortable bed! There was a continental breakfast hamper offering a good selection, with fresh milk, water and orange juice in the mini fridge. Within the Inn there’s a restaurant (which we didn’t eat at, as food was provided for our evening) newly renovated and run by a friendly husband and wife team. Menu looked great, would definitely eat there for a next visit. My top marks go to Will, the owner of the Inn…my husband left his suit hanging in the wardrobe. We realised this when travelling back home to Dorset. On calling Will, he said ‘I’ve already emailed you asking how you would like us to return it to you’!! All in all, a brilliant, friendly service from start to finish. I would definitely stay again and recommend…

We stayed here Saturday 20/05 Arrived just after 3 check was swift, told our room was on the first floor to the left and the end one no5. We had pre booked this room for the jacuzzi bath and four poster bed which didn’t disappoint. The room was spotlessly clean if a little cramped.. there wasn’t a lot of space between the end of the bed and the chest of drawers .. I had to turn sideways to get past. Nice little touch of coffee machine and tea/ kettle facilities in the room .. no coffee for the machine just hot chocolate pods no milk pods (maybe replenish these when cleaning the room) We reserved a table in the restaurant for 7:30, we arrived 10/15 mins early and was seated our orders for food taken .. sadly due to being busy we waited over 45 minutes for food. I ordered belly pork my partner prawn and salmon salad as the crab and crayfish salad wasn’t available. My fault I didn’t read the menu I got some sort of sweet potato gratin which I don’t eat .. I would however have preferred a choice of potato but as I said my fault I didn’t read the menu. We decided to have a drive after dinner to the iron bridge, returned to our room to try out the jacuzzi bath … ohh my word it was amazing and the bath water was incredibly hot! Yep I was broiled I love a red hot bath and the jets where amazing 🤩 So we settled down to watch a film but couldn’t concentrate as all we could hear was the noise from the downstairs bar.. this went on until 12:20am. When my partner mentioned this at breakfast the waitress said no one had mentioned the noise before and apologised.. Breakfast we was offered a choice of cereals and a full English .. fresh orange was on the table and we had a pot of tea and a cafetière of fresh coffee, again we waited quite a while for food but when it was served it was really good and all locally sourced produce. Check out again swift and we left. The reason I have mentioned the wait for food is because I have an eating disorder and have to eat when I am hungry or it passes, so whilst it’s an issue for me it may not be for others.
