Antigonish Evergreen Inn

Absolutely loved this place! Nicely updated rooms with plenty of space,comfortable bedding, and surprisingly large bathroom. Lovely and quiet, away from road. Extremely pleasant and helpful owner, we were totally happy with this gem!

This gem of a place is just up the road from the main area of Antigonish, but is in a peaceful world of its own. We could smell the freshness of the room the instant we opened the door. Everything was sparkling clean. The screen on the TV showed a scene of a tent by a lake, and soothing music played in the background. This is indicative of the many small touches that set this place apart. The room had a kitchenette with full stove, sink, mini fridge and microwave, kettle, toaster, dishes, etc. There was a spacious desk, large wardrobe, and tray tables to use while eating in. The bathroom was very spacious and every surface was gleaming. There were plush robes and slippers, makeup remover, sewing kit, ironing board with iron, etc. Due to it being low season, breakfast was not served in the main office area, but we were able to request a breakfast basket that was delivered before 8 am. We enjoyed juice, yogurt and delicious homemade baked goods with 2 kinds of jam. Granola bars were also provided, and we took advantage of the high quality tea and coffee (with real milk!) provided in the room. In sum, it’s hard to imagine a better place to stay in Antigonish. We would return in a heartbeat and would definitely recommend to others.

A weekend away for some down time. Very charming and welcoming room. A delicious treat of Chocolates and caramels awaiting us. Nice deep tub for a great soak at the end of the day. Electric fire place was a lovely bonus to add that air of romance. Loved being able to make our own nachos with the little kitchenette. We felt it was just perfect. Absolutely loved the honey and almond shampoo in the shower, the scent smelled heavenly. Was heading out to visit the lighthouses in the area when we bumped into one of the owners who shared with us their map of what they call a mini Cabot trail. And it was a lovely drive with scenery. If you happen to be visiting on a Saturday, check out the farmers market. Lots of good eats along with many crafters creations. I snagged some new earrings and book marks. I was told the butter chicken was not spicy but he lied…. Lol it was still sooo good though. Absolutely perfect.
