Hotel in zona Pioneer School House, Anchorage

Siamo rimasti al centro di Anchorage Marriott. Poche notti prima di aver soggiornato in un altro hotel in una città diversa. La differenza era di notte e giorno e il costo era molto simile. Ero così felice con il centro di Anchorage Marriott. La stanza era pulita e confortevole, la mattina era molto confortevole, sarei certamente rimasto lì.

Mia moglie e io, insieme a nostra figlia, SIL e 3 bambini, siamo rimasti al RI Anchorage venerdì-domenica giugno 22-24. Il personale RI, soprattutto il loro personale cucina - Carol e Shey!!! - merita un grande grido per quanto si trovavano. Siamo una famiglia di Kosher, che osserva la famiglia Shabbat, e hanno aperto le porte quando ne avevamo bisogno, controllato i prodotti di cucina per la certificazione, e in tutto erano solo il più utile e curativo personale dell'hotel che abbiamo mai incontrato. Damgli la vostra seria considerazione se siete in Anchorage!!

DO NOT stay at this hotel unless you get an iron clad guarantee that you will not have organised ‘teens on tour’ that are marauding, loud, noisy and partying to the early hours of the morning. The teens are large groups (40-50) staying at the Midtown Springhill Suites Marriott as part of adventure tours. No change since last summer - see Tripadvisor comment from 2022. It was the worse hotel experience of our six week stay in Alaska however the housekeeping of the rooms was exceptionally clean and Dallas the groundsman and housekeepers were very professional, friendly and polite to us. This is a much lower quality clientele and service (except for the great quality rooms beds and housekeeping) compared to the Marriott’s in Australia. Google Westcoastconnection and Reinteentours and look at their Alaska Hawaii tours for a month at $12,000 USD for privileged teens who are touring and staying at hotels such as the Hilton, Hyatt Regency, Marriott also the Bluffs and Grande Denali etc. We stayed a total of five nights broken over a two week period as we were booked in by an American company for independent travel - Vacations by Rail with additional nights I added as we toured from here to Denali and Seward. I complained about the noise the first time, second time was a quieter area of the hotel but then they mustn’t have made a note on my third booking even though I told reception all my dates. The last occasion was so truly horrible with virtually no sleep and feeling completely bullied and unsafe by the Westcoast Connection ‘chaperones’ and their testosterone group of boy teens (also had girls too) who were much taller and larger than I. The boys even bullied and called me names at the airport when they spotted me as they were ending their tour because I had dared to ask them to disperse from the hallway at around 11pm as they were two steps away from my room and talking loudly and I couldn’t sleep. They put us in an interconnecting room (door locked) and we could hear the yelling, loud music, thumping of bags onto the floor on both sides and above and across the hall from these teens. Then later I tried reception on the phone but there was no answer. at around 11.30pm so I went down to reception. Reception said that they had sent ‘security’ (not sure what this actually entailed) to go to the floor previously. I saw the chaperones in the foyer putting on facial moisturiser masks and I asked them why they weren’t supervising. I then again came down to reception close to 1am to again ask if there was anything they could do and again similar response. I again spotted the chaperones in the foyer if they could talk to the boy teens and one flat out lied and she said that they were in their beds asleep and security had been up on that floor. I said that this is not the case. One male chaperone kindly went up with me and stood for about three seconds outside the room and of course heard them and went in. Manager moved us the next morning. La stanza è molto piccola, ma il serbatoio è configurato, il frigorifero è tutto, la sala ha una cucina corretta.Il parcheggio è grande e gratuito.Il servizio è buono.La decorazione ha una struttura abitativa molto locale, molto vicina all'aeroporto

As this often goes, these things never come alone. For our last night of our 10 day stay in Alaska, I wanted something nice, something more special. Comparing the prices to others, I felt that usd 435 for one night in a Hilton would give us that nice place. I had asked for a late checkout (confirmation received via email) and during checkin the lady said ”we have a problem”. Basically I needed to book another night in the hotel if I wanted to check out at 6pm. No go ofcourse. The hotel was not clean, smelled muffy, room and shower also not clean. The gym access did not work with the room key, pool closed in all a 2-3star experience for a 5 star price. And ofcourse the unfriendly staff on top of this. Certainly never stay with Hilton again.

Si diceva che c'era un autobus per l'aeroporto, quindi ho fatto una prenotazione, ma non c'era nessun autobus per l'aeroporto.Alla fine ho chiamato l'ascensore e mi sono trasferito. Anche se era un prezzo compreso il colazione, il colazione era molto semplice, quindi non mi sentivo molto merito. Piuttosto è molto vicino all'aeroporto (10 minuti di auto) e ci è un delizioso ristorante vietnamita intorno. È difficile da raccomandare perché il soddisfacimento dei prezzi è basso.

Il campo era bello e alberghiero, ma due giorni dopo abbiamo controllato e organizzato la navetta alla stazione ferroviaria solo per scoprire che il personale ci aveva malinformati. La sera prima di partire dal treno, il personale disse che non eravamo registrati per la navetta, ma ”ci hanno fatto un favore” facendo un'eccezione. Il nostro bagno si fermò la prima mattina e mandò subito un riparatore a ripararlo. La colazione era piuttosto buona con uova calde, bacon, waffles, e il grano di solito, ecc. La stanza era molto piena (avevamo un gruppo di 4 e non ci erano abbastanza posti), ma molto pulita. Un giovane si fermò vicino alla porta della cucina per assicurarsi che tutto fosse riempito, e mi aiutava a prendere dei bagagli per la mattina prossima, quando usciamo presto. Egli ha anche fatto un colazione per noi per la mattina che abbiamo lasciato, perché la sala da pranzo non sarebbe aperta. È abbastanza vicino all'aeroporto e non lontano da Walmart, se avete bisogno di qualcosa.

Grande posto all'aeroporto. Per le persone in transito è difficile battere. Il lavoro è fatto se è tutto quello che ti serve. Ma se stai cercando un posto per rimanere più di una notte, altri luoghi possono essere meglio adattati.

Well my stay was great and the room was clean granted refrigerators really tiny and there's no microwave you have to actually ask for microwave and they don't tell you about it when you check in and they said that my room was close to the elevator and it's actually 64 rooms away from the elevator that was kind of tough trying to get maintenance up here to fix the lock on my door was a hassle it took 3 days I ended up being locked out of my room because the battery died I need a batteries in the TV remote at 23 days I ended up having to go buy my own because nobody ever showed up otherwise my stay was great thank you though they don't provide breakfast you have to actually pay for it and it's super expensive

Di solito trascorro un soggiorno tranquillo e piacevole quando soggiorno qui, ma questa volta non è stato così tranquillo. C'era una festa di compleanno per bambini o qualcosa in corso dove c'erano molti bambini turbolenti che correvano su e giù per il corridoio, facendo tutto questo rumore durante il mio soggiorno. Non è affatto piacevole.
