Casale San Pietro

This was our second visit to Casale San Pietro, this time returning with members of the family. The reason we returned was simply that we knew the personal level of service provided by Joe and Alana would be perfect for our extended family - and it was. We had three rooms linked together by a large terrace albeit, as the communal areas are so lovely, we generally spent our time downstairs, either on our own or with the other guests. This is a small hotel and that facilitates amazing service levels. It was one family member's birthday during our visit and, without being asked, Joe and Alana ordered an incredible cake from a nearby bakery. We did trips to Fiuggi, Tivoli, Villa d'Este and Rome, all of which were amazing and excellent value for money. There is so much to see in this area - it's very understated given the wealth of beautiful towns and architecture. An extremely high proportion of guests rebook on departure (as we did last time) so it is increasingly difficult to book in. Get organised early and try this place - you will absolutely love it!

I visited for 6 nights with my friend on a Spa retreat. We had 5 therapy’s. Massages, facial’s, scrubs. Three day trips (Rome and Villa del Este) and 2 evening restaurant visits with breakfast and lunch and evening meal at the Casala as part of the package. We had an amazing time. The owners are hosts and it is a real home from home approach. There is a maximum of 12 guests. Its an honour to be able to stay in their fabulous home. The bedrooms are spacious and there are plenty of places to sit in the sun or shade. The pool is idilic. The food is amazing and staff can’t do enough for you. It a definite must if you fancy indulging yourself.

Oh my days... what can I say about this place? Nothing seems good enough.... Alana and Joe are the loveliest, most helpful, friendly couple you will ever meet, and they are the heart and soul of this place. Casale is set on a beautiful mountainside, complete tranquil peace and quiet, and everywhere is meticulously clean. They are so welcoming, the food is amazing, and the Casale itself is a home from home (if my home was a beautifully restored old building in Italy that is...!) The pool is lovely, clean and warm and the Sun beds there are soo comfy! The bed we had was so comfortable, and our room was really clean and well maintained! Joe is a wealth of information with his brilliant maps and tips of where to go and what to see, and nothing is too much trouble, and Alana is just lovely with a really calming inner peace about her. We cannot wait to come back to see you both, and spend longer here exploring the local area and relaxing at your amazing place. If you are looking for complete relaxation, absolutely book to come here, you will not regret it.

We are much travelled but have rarely stayed anywhere so idyllic. Thought long and hard about writing this review as you kind of feel you don’t want other people to find it! Joe and Alana were the best hosts ever - never seen such a hard working couple. Nothing was too trouble. The grounds and facilities are amazing with scented plants. Luxurious accommodation - comfy beds - lovely terrace furniture. The pool is amazing and the food is great. A wonderful stay with friends and made many new friends. Can’t wait to return.

I booked here on a spa retreat via My Little Farm Spa and so there was a lot included in the package, including 6 nights accommodation at the Casale with all meals (Inc those out at local restaurants), guided day trips courtesy of Joe (one of the owners), access to all the Casale facilities and many spa treatments during the visit. It really was the most amazing week, and I cannot fault a single thing. Alana and Joe (the owners) put guest needs at the top of their list and can't do enough for you. Their warmth and hospitality is second to none. The Casale itself is beautiful, with a select range of large rooms, all kitted out to a high standard. The food is prepared by an experienced chef and absolutely delightful. All ingredients are top quality and fresh, and meals are made to a very high standard. It could work out to be an expensive holiday but absolutely worth every penny for the top quality service and experience you have. Am already planning my next visit!

We have just returned from the most wonderful stay at the Casale. Joe and Alana have thought of everything to ensure that your stay is relaxing and memorable. They are the most warm and welcoming couple with lots of stories to tell. We dined in their restaurant at every opportunity and experienced some of the best food we have ever had; fresh local produce cooked and served by two lovely ladies from the village. The views from the terrace are stunning. We usually favour beach holidays so this was something new for us, but we were not disappointed. The Casale is a little slice of heaven, perfectly situated in the beautiful Italian countryside, perfect for exploring by car or on foot. We enjoyed some great walks including the village of Acuto; perched high on a hill and the local town of Anagni. We hired 'Dolly' the Fiat 500 and spent a day at Sperlonga which is just beautiful. Joe and Alana could not have made us more welcome, this is not the place you think you may return to... you just know that you will. Thanks for everything.
