A causa di una festa di famiglia, abbiamo dovuto prendere i nostri due nipoti e alloggiarci con noi, per questo abbiamo prenotato una stanza di famiglia che soddisfaceva pienamente le nostre aspettative... semplice, ma sufficiente. Il pranzo sulla terrazza è stato eccellente e molto ben presentato. Servizio più veloce, amichevole. Il fatto che la terrazza sia sulla strada principale e sulla linea ferroviaria, è dovuto alla costruzione non cambia. Basta parcheggio.

Meine Freundin und ich waren für 4 Übernachtungen zu Gast im Seehof. Das Hotel befindet sich in wunderbarer Lage, es braucht kaum eine Minute Fußweg vom Hoteleingang bis zum Badestrand am malerischen Walensee. Das Hotel habe ich vor allem aufgrund der top Lage und der durchweg positiven Bewertungen gebucht, daher möchte ich mit meiner eigenen Bewertung ein möglichst gutes Gesamtbild vermitteln, das mir in bisherigen Bewertungen gefehlt hat. Positiv: + Traumhafte Lage, die meisten Zimmer scheinen Seeblick zu haben + Frühstück ist von 6:30 bis 10:00 Uhr verfügbar + Der gesamte Hotelbereich ist sehr sauber, die Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt und Handtücher ausgetauscht + Das Personal im Hotel selbst war stets freundlich. Das gilt sowohl für Empfang, Reinigungspersonal als auch beim Frühstücksbuffet + Zimmer und Bad sind großzügig bemessen + Es gab einen Wasserkocher, einen Fernseher, zwei Teetassen und eine kleine Auswahl an Kaffee und Teesorten auf dem Zimmer. Dazu eine kleine Wasserflasche, die täglich erneuert wurde Neutral: ~ Es werden zwar verschiedenste Services angeboten, aber informiert wird man erst über einen Flyer im Hotelzimmer. Das ist insbesondere für Angebote wie ”Abholen vom Bahnhof” sinnlos. ~ Es gibt eine Bushaltestelle direkt vorm Hotel, der Bus verkehrt allerdings nur jede Stunde und je nach Uhrzeit sogar nur alle 2 Stunden. Der Bahnhof Walenstadt ist locker in 20 Minuten per Fuß zu erreichen, aber auch dort verkehren die Züge sehr unregelmäßig. Tagestouren müssen daher gut geplant werden, wenn man nicht längere Wartezeiten oder Fußwege in Kauf nehmen mag ~ Es gibt eine Anlegestelle für Bootstouren über den Walensee. Die Abfahrtszeiten sind vor allem an Werktagen unregelmäßig ~ Am Standort Walenstadt gibt es keine Mietoptionen für Pedalos oder ähnliches Negativ: - Es gibt weder eine Klimaanlage im Zimmer noch Fliegennetze vor den Fenstern. In schwülen Sommernächten hat man daher die Wahl, ob man in einem stickigen Zimmer schläft oder die durch die Nähe zur Landwirtschaft enorm große Menge an Insekten ins Zimmer einlädt. - Die Toilette in unserem Zimmer ließ sich nicht nur nicht vollständig abschließen, sodass jedes Geräusch von allen Personen im Zimmer zu hören ist, sondern hatte auch noch ein Bullaugenfenster zu den Betten. Das heißt, wenn man sich im Hauptbereich des Zimmer bewegte, wurde der Blick unweigerlich ins Badezimmer gelenkt, wo man einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf die Toilette hat. - Die Essensauswahl im Hotelrestaurant ist beschränkt und die Qualität der Speisen, die wir probiert haben, war maximal durchschnittlich. Die Preise waren ironischerweise selbst für Schweizer Verhältnisse überteuert. - Besonders unschön: Das Hotelrestaurant. Bei unserem einzigen Besuch dort war jede Mitarbeiterin, mit der wir interagierten, extrem unfreundlich und kurz angebunden. Teller wurden teilweise ohne Augenkontakt auf den Tisch gestellt, während man noch mit Gästen vom Nachbartisch redet. Ein ”Guten Appetit” haben wir nie gehört

I have spent a total of 7 weeks at this hotel for work reasons. Nice rooms, nice breakfast buffet, friendly restaurant staff and beautiful view. However, there is no physical reception... meaning you need to call their remote help center for any sort of assistance or administration. And therein lies the problem: - Noone feels responsible. From the 8+ times I called, I had a different person on the line every time for the same problem. There is not an assigned contact person for specific needs. Every time I called, I had to explain the situation again. - Unfriendly staff. While some of the staff were friendly, there were some who were not understanding and not willing to help with problems, that were previously solvable. Specifically a German lady who was very inpatient and unfriendly, at some point even outright snappy. - No internal communication. Things agreed on by phone call or per email aren't held up. Every time it required a phone call to solve issues with payment and receipts, even though it was the same procedure every week. There seems to be no concept of leadership or communication within the system. As for my company, we frequently book this hotel every year, resulting in hundreds of nights spent at Neu - Schönstatt. However we have now decided that the administrational stress and inflexibility of the Hotel goes beyond what one can expect and will no longer be booking here. If you are looking for nothing but a place to stay with no specific requests, this is a nice place to stay. But if you tend to require assistance of any sort, stay away.
