Belize was one of the most memorable Birthday trips I've experienced and Playa De Sala was a major reason why. Prior to arrival the communication with the property was awesome, checking in to see if we had adequate transportation from the airport along with offering to make accommodations if needed. When we arrive we were welcomed with refreshing non-alcoholic drinks and a 'Happy Birthday' situated in the sand right in front of our room accomodations. The room accommodations are large and perfect views of the waterside. The staff is incredible, especially Chris, he greeted us when we left for the night and answered any questions we had about the island. We did not discover until our last night there that some of the best food is right at Playa De Sala! Every meal we had was great, including the breakfast! Playa De Sala brands as boutique hotel, but felt more like a "airbnb" with an inhouse staff- if that makes sense. Playa De SALA is a true gem and we'll most definitely be returning!

Well overall Playa De Sala(PDS} is adequate.If you are looking for a very quite stay with occational visitors to the bar and restuarant you will enjoy PDS. The owner Forest is a delight. She will go to great efforts to accomadate all requests. If you are looking for access the Caribean Sea this not your place. PDS sitts on an inland extension of the ocean, calm but devoid of usable waters. It is a very plesent vue but not what you expect in the Caribbean. The Food is very good for the most part and people travel down the worst third world road to dine. The Boat bar is unique and fun and again some brave the pothole ridden road to visit. If you consider PDS don 't add any "pachages" espcially travel. All activities and adventures are economically and easily booked direct. Overall it is a nice quite and secluded small hotel. I hope for the sake of Forest and all the kind employees that the city of San Pedro will consider to minimally improve the road to a" dirt road" standard.

We were all very happy with our dining experience here. Chrisp was our waiter. He was very attentive and efficient. Pasta was cooked to perfect El Dante. Steaks were also cooked exactly as ordered and seasoned very well. The location on the roof top was stunning. Will return for an afternoon so we can enjoy it more fully.

If you are looking for a relaxing adults-only getaway, far from the crowds with phenomenal staff, food, and service, look no further. The website for Playa De Sala does not do this modern boutique hotel justice. It's fabulous! If privacy, great service, food, and cool staff are your thing, then PDS is a great place to stay. It's not in the main part of town and does require an extra 15 minutes to arrive. It's Totally Worth it! The view of Tarpon Bay is fantastic, as is the rooftop bar/resturant (reasonable prices and tasty). Breakfast is included in the stay. The pool is for dipping, but it was not what we came for. Ms. Sala and her staff are protective and accommodating of guests, assisting with pre-arrival, tours, golf carts, and departure needs. We rented a golf cart to access San Pedro happenings and it was easy to go back/forth. Playa De Sala is a perfect quiet retreat for couples. We rarely saw the other occupants of this 5 room hotel and did not mind at all!!!! Again the bay view is everything. We felt really comfortable and will definitely return every time we come back to San Pedro! The hotel does have steps to enter the hotel and to access the rooftop (if one has accessibility concerns).

Had a nice lunch here today, generous portions on the nachos and delicious fish and chips. Melvin and Crispy were great hosts. The drive down south was worth it, met some fun people while having food and drinks. Looking forward to see the sunset from the rooftop bar.

We have been there for lunch and dinner multiple times. The food is very good. The only thing I don’t like is that lunch is now only available at the boat bar instead of the rooftop bar/restaurant. It is very awkward to eat at the bar and none of the beach tables have umbrellas so you are baking in the midday sun. The boat bar was not well stocked. They were out of beer and had very limited mixers. It used to be a great experience upstairs on the roof. Dinner is better.

Great hidden gem. About 20 bedroom boutique hotel with great deep pool and fantastic spa. 8 restaurants and food places right outside and the large Snappers sports bar and grill across the street. Housekeeping top notch. 50 yards to Playa Norte. Quiet well appointed rooms with kitchenette, fridge/freezers etc. Will stay again.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our Stay. Hidden gem away from town was a good decision. Hospitality was superb and our travertine room was clean. The bed was comfortable and we woke up each day to a breathtaking view. Josh, Sammy and the team assisted with whatever we needed such as taxi, golf cart and suggested places to eat. Rooftop restaurant served an awesome dinner as well.
