Marari Village Beach Resort by Egh

We were staying a few hundred yards away so strolled down at lunchtime. There was nobody eating but the very kind staff happily cooked us up some chicken pakora and salads. Very nice so we went back the same evening for a meal. We had a mushroom biryani ( huge portion!) and chicken kizhi parotta which was delicious. We would highly recommend the restaurant if you are in the area.

Location was nice, with a small beach in front, but the hotel itself is very basic. It is just a small building with 10 rooms on a tiny property. There is no reception or a proper restaurant. Though you can order food from their menu, well in advance, which can be delivered to the room or you can eat in a designated area with chairs and tables. They don't allow outside food, with the excuse being that you might get food poisoning, more likely that otherwise no one would order from their menu. The housekeeping is run in an extremely unprofessional way. Our bathroom had no toiletries, which we had to ask for multiple times, only receiving some of them several hours after check-in. The place is mainly run by a person as manager, who didn't seem to care much about hospitality. Of the six places we stayed in Kerala over our trip, this was the only disappointing one. If it's showing anything more than 4k per night for you to book, do know that it's really not worth it.

Our stay at the resort was far from enjoyable and completely lacked peace. The property management concurrently hosted a wedding, resulting in the resort being overcrowded, noisy, and disturbing. The following morning, the lawn was littered with food waste and debris. We were unable to use the pool due to the overwhelming number of guests. Our time and money were wasted due to their negligence. This experience was utterly disappointing.

The property is well maintained. The location is away from the city noise which is good part. You can enjoy the in-front beach. Food was ok.

It is not 4star but location is good -its anywhere between 2-3 star. Small hotel with 10 rooms only. Has small beach area at walking distance a bit remote and limited. Limited food options due to small size of hotel. Not suggest for others to book
