Hotel in zona Maison Diocésaine, Algeri

I’ve been in this hotel for the last 15 day of August, I could/should say, it I very convenient location a big plus is the service and quality of it, eating will never disappoint you a the restaurant; the staff including the Chef will spoil you, if not, they will make sure something can be arranged to make you happy, they will help and treat you like a family, at the restaurant Sofiane and his colleagues are amazing. While taking care of yourself and your room, Narimane, Marouane and Siham (I am 100%, I misspelled their names) are very lovely and 150% committed to be your comfortability. Ahh… the front desk staff are as good as mother could be, they make sure you are comfortable, safe, and good serviced. What can I tell you, I am 100% and 1000 time happy customer.

I have travelled a lot in the Middle East and North Africa - and people in these countries are the most friendly and hospitable you will find anywhere in the world. But even compared to those standards, the staff of City Hotel are extremely helpful and friendly. They will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and help with any issue at hand - even sharing their home-cooked food with me (best food I had in Algiers!). So if you think about visiting Algiers, book this hotel! It has good facilities at a very convenient location, but most of all: the best staff you will find anywhere in the world. Highly recommended!!

The hotel is located in the city rather than on the outskirts like many. It is a low-rise sprawling complex that is a mixture of contemporary and traditional styles. Our room was large with an absolutely lovely king-sized bed - the feather topper was so nice that I ordered one for myself. The four piece bathroom was pleasant but not cutting edge, let down by a rather old-fashioned and weak shower head . The Botanical Gardens, Jardin d'Essai du Hamma, are located next door, entry is free for hotel guests, a nice gesture. Moving around the city is easy as the underground station is located at the botanical gardens. Dining in the hotel is very competitively priced and of excellent quality; alcoholic drinks are served but spirits come at a premium. The Azzurro restaurant, which is part of the hotel, is absolutely wonderful. The service was excellent and the food was as good as I've had anywhere in the world and we have been to 139 countries. Not all great: The Africa Cup of Nations was played on a big screen in the atrium and was very, very loud. The Algerian game played until 11pm keeping us awake, our complaints to the staff were met with indifference. Also; smoking is allowed in parts of the hotel however, the smoke permeated into our room. Having said all of that I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Bene, ma questa volta il letto è troppo vecchio e l'apparecchiatura di aria condizionata è molto vecchia. In generale, se il prezzo di circa 600 è buono, a volte il prezzo si sposta a più di 800, è più costoso.

Mi piace solo ............ questo hotel molto bello, mi piace molto questo hotel, un bel hotel, ....... camere pulite ....., ... personale di pulizia della stanza ......., tutto, personale di ricezione e lavoratori della piscina ..... Voglio davvero visitare di nuovo .....

We picked this hotel on advice of our local travel agent because it's located nearby a shopping center. We planned to stay there for 2 nights. Check in went smoothly. The front desk ladies were nice. When we entered the room, it's hot. Tried the aircon button, nothing. Called the front desk, they sent a housekeeping lady who explained in somewhat limited English that the hotel aircon is off so we had to open the windows. WHAT??? We talked to the front desk about it and they said, ”If after returning from your tour the room is still hot, we'll change the room”. Off we go on our tour. When we returned, sure enough the room was still hot . They had a new shift at the front desk and they knew the issue, so they helped us find another room. Three rooms later, now they put us in a suite, we thought it was not as hot as the previous 3. All this time, a front desk staff took us around to check all the rooms. Later the Duty Manager called and explained that for the months of March-April-May the hotel's central aircon is switched off. Why? The management's policy. WHAT??? We're tired so we settled but couldn't sleep that night, the room was too warm for us. Opening the windows didn't help a bit. The room was depressingly dark, not enough lighting. The furniture was old and the leather on the sofas is already torn. Reminds me of cheap motel, certainly not a Mercure. Bathroom lacked of good lighting. Entering the bathtub is dangerous due to its weird design and position. throughout of this the hotel staff did their best to make us feel comfortable, they were really understanding and helpful but can't do nothing about the aircon. Their gym, on the other hand, was well-lit, cool enough and had complete equipment. First thing in the morning we spent calling nearby hotels, including the nextdoor Marriott Bab Ezzouar, and asked if their aircon was also switched off. Answer: ”No, ours is on!”. After a sad breakfast with very limited menu, we checked out and moved to next door Marriott where we were given a beautiful and cool room.

Buon albergo commerciale vicino all’aeroporto internazionale di Algeri. Buona la pulizia della camera. Ristorante pulito, ben organizzato, cibo ben preparato e ben servito! Una nota particolare all’accoglienza e alla disponibilità del personale della reception e di sala che merita un plauso! Grazie e bravi!

Per il meglio l'hotel migliore che abbia mai fatto in Algeria, E lì con gli altri hotel che ho fatto in tutto il mondo. Il servizio è grande, la squadra è grande, eccetto una donna che lavora in una ricezione che è estremamente rude ma il resto era sorprendente. Il cibo è bello, il bellissimo spa privato.Ho solo buone cose da dire, e non dimentichero il grande team di custodia e sicurezza.
