As a local resident I have used the restaurant and terrace many times, but their rules continue to baffle and infuriate me and many locals. Having had coffee in the sunshine on their terrace we decided to have a light lunch..could we have a bar menu? Consisted solely of chips (3 ways mind you) so I enquired if we could get sandwiches? No, only indoors 2 yards away! With hindsight I should have gone in, sat at a table, ordered sandwiches and then brought them out! It wasn’t as if they were even busy, and no wonder with such stupidity. What a waste of a beautiful hotel…Julia Hands N.B. Work to do!

Went for lunch, the meat was inedible. On the plus side we were not charged for the beef and lamb. The wine choice is limited below £40 (one) so it worked an expensive way to drink a bottle of wine. It will probably be another couple of years before I give them another chance to disappoint me again.

If you want to experience perfection, than stay at Braye Beach Hotel. Its a lovely warm feeling when you walk in and are greeted like a long lost friend. All the staff we came across where kind and helpful. They just couldn't do enough to make sure that you were having a perfect time. A must say jumbo to the lovely staff from Kenya. The views of the beach from our room were superb. Top notch food, a comfy room and service that you will find hard to beat anywhere in the world. Stay here, you will not regret it.

We loved every aspect of our 3-night stay at the Bray Beach Hotel. The staff and service was so friendly and we found our tea, coffee and water replenished twice daily so we never ran low! We enjoyed a plentiful and delicious breakfast each morning and the hotel was very accommodating of my coeliac disease with lots of gluten free options or adaptations.

Highly recommend this hotel. Good ambience, great food and outstanding service. Special mention to Elias in the restaurant who exceeded our expectations with a surprise birthday song. What else could we ask for. Will definitely visit again.

Met a friend at Braye beach hotel for coffee and wanted to have a sandwich on the terrace………. Sorry can’t do that ….. you can have chips but a sandwich you have to eat in the restaurant!! Fabulous terrace , beautiful view,sunny but ….. no sandwiches etc (It wasn’t even busy ) I can see why !!!! Chips only served on patio …… really . And I live here…… what would a holiday maker think !!!!!! Very frustrating.

we visited The Braye Beach Hotel twice for late afternoon meal - both times absolutely wonderful food - excellent service from the waiting staff and front of house very warm and welcoming. We were on a boat in the harbour so having such a lovely place to eat and wonderful surroundings was a real treat on terra ferma! Well done team - we will recommend you to our friends. This hotel displays all that is good on Alderney with kindness and good standards.

Stayed at this fine hotel recently, a real genuine welcome by Louise as the front of house ambassador for the hotel, a real asset. The restaurant and bar staff were really good, special mention for Elias and Emily but the staff in the restaurant were all really good, food was amazing as well. Unfortunately, the housekeeping let the side down with service not matching the former.bath towels not left in the room on day 2 when the room got cleaned, also the underneath of the bath plug was really dirty with ingrained dirt, think some more stringent QA needs to be applied to raise standards. Towels, etc, brought to the attention of the front of the house, who immediately rectified the issue. Would stay again, though.
