Se potessi dare questo posto 7 stelle su 5 sarei. Questa riad è stata un'illuminazione del nostro viaggio - non solo la casa stessa è perfetta, ma, più importante, la famiglia che la guida è così gentile, autentica e utile, che immediatamente si sente come una casa lontana da casa. La riad è fantasticamente situata con vista panoramica sul valle e sulle montagne circostanti, tra cui la Jebek Toubkal, la più alta montagna del Nord Africa. Le camere hanno tutti i dettagli meravigliosi come alcuni articoli di vestiti di Barber per provare a mantenere caldo o semplicemente per divertimento e decorazione di plastica sul tetto. Sono tranquilli, puliti e confortevoli con docce con pressione ottimale e acqua calda. Il cibo è eccellente e servito in una sala da pranzo con le ruggine di Berber e circondato da mobili in legno delicatamente tagliati, con vista panoramica delle montagne. Più importante, il manager Rashid è un'anima gentile e energica che andrà oltre e oltre per assicurarsi che tu abbia un grande viaggio. Arrivammo tardi il primo giorno, dopo un lungo viaggio, e si presentava nel centro del villaggio per aiutarci a navigare la strada di ricca per arrivare all'ospite; egli riusciva a ordinare le camere per noi quando prenotammo il super ultimo minuto e teoricamente il la casa era stata prenotata (compreso l’albergo che si trovava al posto di suo zio vicino alla porta); ha organizzato un viaggio guidato per noi a Toubkal con un grande guida (Hassan) per un prezzo ragionevole; ci ha prestato un sacchetto da letto e guanti per il viaggio, senza alcun costo aggiuntivo; E passava tempo a parlare con noi, in modo che ci faceva sentire come amici, non come clienti, e ci dava una grande visione della vita locale. La sua nipote Bouchra (scusate se la scrittura è sbagliata, avrei dovuto chiedergli come scritturarla!), che gli aiuta a correre la casa degli ospiti era anche una stella assoluta - grazie a entrambi!

It’s important to appreciate that a riad is not a hotel - so expectations should be different, and might not suit everyone. That said - we loved it. We perhaps weren’t the normal hiking/walking guests that wanted to soak up the trails and climbing, instead we loved to just sit on the terrace high above the town of Imlil and listen to the sounds of the town and enjoy the ample sunshine from dawn to dusk. Time passed quickly between a wonderful breakfast each morning, reading and chatting through to an excellent evening meal of salad/soup, meatball/beef/chicken tagine, with a big bowl of fruit to finish. We were well fed and didn’t feel the need for lunch on the 3 days that we were there. Water was freely available through a filter tap in the main dining room. There were good comms with the riad before the visit to organise transit from the airport. The leanings that I would pass on are; Think about having a night or two in Marrakesh before or after the visit to Imlil, the hotel were very able in organising the local taxis to both collect and drop at the airport or city. We weren’t there for any tours or experiences - but these can be easily arranged with the riad direct. I think I would probably ask what was available before arriving if I visit again. The transit arranged through the riad was local and so knew to drop us off on the road above the property - so it was only a few steps down to the riad, as opposed to lugging any luggage up from the town of Imlil. The staff were all very pleasant and easy to chat with. Lastly we booked through BA holidays.
