The Capaldi Hotel, Restaurant & Spa

Thank you, Tara, Ed, Carol and team for a wonderful stay at your relaxed and beautiful hotel at the foothills of the mountains. After a few frantic days of golf and sight seeing in Marrakech it was wonderful to retreat to the Capaldi. Decorated in modern but traditional Moroccan style, the room we had was so spacious and quiet. The air con is there if you need it. We enjoyed the daily menu changes and quality of the food from breakfast through to dinner. Sit upstairs on the roof of the restaurant for pre-dinner drinks and watch the sun go down and the colours of the mountains change. Watched Casablanca in the private cinema on our last night for something different to do. Took the guided walk of three hours from the local town of Amizmiz. The walk can be tailored to your ability. We had lunch in the home of a local family. Lovely fresh bread and super hot tagine; mint tea and water. That was quite special. Thank you to our guide Abdu. Very knowledgeable and friendly. One word of advice - take walking shoes, trainers aren’t enough. Enjoyed the spa at the hotel as well. Good massage. Thanks for everything, we came back recharged and relaxed. Tracy

We have just returned from an idyllic 4 day break at The Capaldi feeling wonderfully pampered and relaxed. The hotel is beautiful with extensive gardens full of olive and palm trees and the breathtaking Atlas mountains providing a stunning backdrop . There are two lovely pools (one being heated) and some of the rooms/villas have their own private pool. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated with its own terrace and a rooftop with sun loungers to relax in privacy. The bar/restaurant area was great and served delicious breakfast including pastries, fruit salad and pancakes and eggs to order. In the evening there was a daily changing menu where you have a choice from 3 starters, 3 mains and 2 desserts. There is a rooftop terrace which was a lovely place for sundowners. The wine list was good and we tried a selection of local wines and beer during our stay. I had a hammam and facial during the stay. The spa facilities and staff were both great and I really enjoyed the treatment. The thing that makes The Capaldi so special though are the staff and excellent, attentive service that they provide. We had a suitcase that did not turn up on arrival and came in the following day on the next flight to Marrakech. The team made went above and beyond to make sure we had adequate supplies until the case arrived and assisted us in keeping in contact with the airport to help track the lost case and also assisted with our transportation to the airport once the bag had been located. Aside from helping us with the lost baggage every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful and the consistently high levels of customer service is something the whole team should be very proud of. Although the main purpose of our short trip was to relax, recharge and read (there is a well stocked library and book exchange area) whilst enjoying the gorgeous sunshine, there were plenty of activities available and some of our fellow guests had great experiences hiking and paragliding in the mountains. We really did love everything about our stay and are already planning our next visit.

A very special stay in a beautiful location. The hotel is well thought out, our room was kept beautifully clean, lovely comfortable bed & huge bathroom. The restaurant is great, all meals chosen were delicious- could not fault anything. The pool & gardens are stunning. So relaxing, after the bustle of Marrakesh. The staff are wonderful, Carol you are a star. Super helpful, friendly & huge attention to detail & ensuring we were looked after which we most certainly were. Tara & Edward- pleasure to meet you, we look forward to returning. Morocco & its people have me hooked.

We had a fantastic holiday at the Capaldi. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The quality of rooms, facilities and food were excellent. The grounds are spectacular and so well maintained with a beautiful main swimming pool and plenty of space and privacy to sunbathe. We have already recommended the hotel to a number of people and would love to return for a holiday in the future.

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at, full stop. We had originally planned to stay for 5 nights, but on the last day, we could not bring ourselves to leave, and so extended our stay. Firstly, the staff are amazing, and Ed and Carol really make you feel very welcome, and are always up for a chat, and to give tips around travelling into Marrakesh and the other activities, which were invaluable to us, and made our stay that much more special. The bar staff are also very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble - they even went out to buy me things I could not get onsite. The food is also very, very good. For breakfast, you are served a delicious pancake, and your choice of eggs, which were very tasty. Lunch has everything you would want from a lunch service, with a wide range of food, from a delicious club sandwich to burgers and steak, and lovely salads. Dinner is a 3 course menu which changes every night - the fish dish was always amazing, as well as traditional Moroccan Food. The facilities are also good, with 2 pools, one heated, and one not. There is a small gym, but it has everything you could need for an effective workout. Don't expect any big weights, but there is a pull-up and dip station, dumbells up to 7.5kg, a boxing bag and cardio equipment. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, and we will for sure be returning!

Beautiful hotel. Stunning grounds and pools with views of the Atlas Mountains. Very peaceful and design gives much privacy. Attentive and friendly staff. Excellent food with a 3 course menu which changes daily. Hotel can arrange guided walks and trips to Marrakesh. Couldn’t fault it.
