Domaine de Saint Clair

lovely property, wonderful host, delicious breakfast, extremely clean and comfortable room. we did have rain during our stay so were unable to use the cozy shared outdoor patio which I am sure is perfect during better weather conditions.

We stayed here with great expectations. The location is very nice with the guest accommodation block being situated in the (obviously vey wealthy) owners grounds about 50 yards from their house. Everything is pristinely clean and tidy . We were in the downstairs bedroom which opens out directly into the communal lounge/breakfast area. This meant there were noise issues if other people were using this area when we were trying to sleep etc. The room itself was very clean but there was no separate bathroom just a washbasin in an open alcove next to a shower. There were 2 armchairs which were designed for discomfort and impossible to sit in for any length of time. Breakfast was continental and very good quality although the fruit and cheese was over-carefully rationed. The place is situated outside Aix and can be tricky to locate especially at nighttime. We also found it rather off-putting that the owners were often hovering around. In conclusion I would say that the accommodation is quite good but there were enough issues to make me think twice about staying again and I definitely woul avoid the downstairs room.

It was perfect in every way: the kindness, all the details, the room, breakfast, garden, etc. Wonderful!

We loved our 3-night stay. Everything was perfect and beautiful. The room, space, cleanliness, the grounds… it’s the best pool in a perfect setting. The hosts were super warm and welcome. We loved the breakfast, especially the local jam and honey. If you look for peace and privacy, this is the place. We will be back!!
