I stayed at the Boathouse Apartments with my husband and 15 month old son after my son was quite sick on Hamilton island and unable to fly home. As there was no accommodation on Hamilton island I called up a few different places and settled on the Boathouse Apartments. I called ahead of time to see if we could check in early so my son could nap after the journey across. The reception staff were quite friendly and did try to get us in quickly however when we got to the room there was a rollaway bed instead of a cot. We left the room and came back to a cot being dumped in the apartment and not set up at all (not a big issue but also not what I’d expect paying the price for premium accommodation). The following morning I received a text that they had to do maintenance in our apartment for roughly 2 hours (I was never advised of this even though I called twice, told them I had a sick child and booked over the phone). We had staff knock on the door twice throughout the day to see when they could do it. First when we had a screaming child we were trying to give antibiotics too and secondly when we were trying to get him down for a nap (again when he was very distressed). We ended up having to leave and sit in a room after an unsuccessful nap with a toddler who had a high fever, ear infection and a rash. I’d also been trying to book a Telehealth appointment to have my son assessed but this was made difficult due to the fact we had to leave the room. One of the reasons I booked was due to the washer/dryer, we had no clothes left so I did a wash upon arrival. I ran the dryer multiple times that evening and kept finding sopping wet clothes at the end of every cycle which was really frustrating. On the following day we asked about the dryer and were advised that they don’t work very well and that the only apartments that had dryers were occupied. Because of this we were forced to wear the same clothes for 3 days straight. Not great for a messy/sick toddler.. We eventually were able to get our clothes dried and received them around 5pm the night before checking out. While I do appreciate the staff for doing so, it wasn’t very helpful at that point. The whole experience was really awful. Travelling with a sick child is hard enough let alone having that added stress. I am pretty annoyed that no one advised us of the works needing to occur during our stay and the fact that a dryer is falsely advertised. I never would have booked if I had known either of these things ahead of time and I feel fairly ripped off for the money we paid given it wasn’t exactly for a holiday..

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and Simon, the owner, was there waiting for us at the property! He helped us with our bags, and showed us to our apartment on the 3rd floor after a quick elevator ride. The apartment had all amenities -- full kitchen, washer/dryer combo (which we took advantage of after traveling for two full weeks before our arrival at Harbour Cove), comfortable living room furniture, and a double-sink huge bathroom with both a shower and a separate soaking tub ensuite to the separate bedroom. Simon was most attentive when we discovered that there was not enough detergent or towels for our needs when we arrived at the apartment. He left and returned in a matter of minutes with the needed items, and left them for us on the dining room table. He didn't disturb us while we were relaxing on the balcony enjoying the magnificent views, which was very sweet! The views were stunning, and we enjoyed relaxing on the large balcony watching them at different times with the changing tide levels. When we came, it was low tide and the harbour was mostly devoid of water. When we woke up the next morning, we were treated to a harbour full of gorgeous blue water as the tide was in! We loved the changing scenes based on the tides. Simon was also a wealth of information about the town, restaurants to eat at, where to purchase our needed supplies, etc. One of his recommendations for dinner was La Tabella Trattoria. We had the Veal Scallopini. It was delicious! In fact, we loved it so much that we went back the following night and had the same meal!! The apartment is located right on the harbour so boats and the ferry were located right in front of our balcony. It was convenient for our day-long cruise the next morning to the Great Barrier Reef -- a 30 second walk to get to the ship terminal, and also a 30 second walk to the Grayhound Bus terminal which was handy the following morning for our bus excursion up the coast to Cairns. We are so happy that we found this accommodation. It was exceptional!

La stanza è grande, bagno indipendente, vasca indipendente, cucina e vasca.Non è molto pulito e pulito. Alla fine di agosto, c'era un solo letto sul letto, troppo freddo, svegliato alle quattro. Ho scoperto che c'era un piccolo letto tra le tue mutande, troppo piccolo, e più grande di quanto non sia stato finora, coperto di due letti, e ha affrontato con forza una notte. Visualizzate dagli appartamenti sono fantastici. Airlie è così bella. Passeggiate in città, prendete il taxi indietro per $7. Tranne il sabato sera. Quasi impossibile trovare un camion. Finito camminando la collina molto forte indietro alla stella del mare. Vivevo! Non male per un 64 anni. L'appartamento.....comfy abbastanza. Porta da bagno coperta in forma alla base. I bagni sono inondati occasionalmente, ma forniscono un piatto, quindi deve essere consapevole. I dispositivi sono vecchi e rustici. Il manico di portaforno diventa estremamente caldo. Il letto era piuttosto vecchio e lucido. Ho visto una spugna sotto il letto da un ospite precedente. Ho vuoto il pavimento e ha caduto pezzi di plastica. Le ruote erano cadute. Così...grande posizione, abbastanza pulita, ma tutto è vecchio. Vorrei restare di nuovo...sì, ma preferirei qualcosa in città a causa della collina

excellent hotel, highly recommend location is at the main street, and close to the wharf room is spacious, clean and fully equipped it's own restaurant is the best part, order a main course and you can enjoy the buffet of high quality appetizer and dessert. the atmosphere is also fantastique, live music is available

L'hotel è molto pulito e la cucina è tutto.Il più sorprendente è quello di aprire.Anche se il colazione è semplice, il sorriso di zia è molto caldo.La posizione è a sette minuti dal porto.Ci sono anche nove minuti per andare al centro della città. Mi sento piuttosto tranquillo, molto bene, vale la pena raccomandare!

Ci sono due ragazze in ricezione che sono assolutamente arroganti e con un atteggiamento terribile. Se avete qualche problema (anche causato da voi stessi), non cercheranno mai di aiutarvi, e per qualsiasi domanda, vi daranno solo risposte rapide per liberarsi di voi. Una ragazza, in particolare una bionda con capelli curli, mi ha lasciato impressionato pensare a come una persona possa essere così arrabbiata lavorando in un centro turistico. Se odi lavorare con le persone, perché non trovi un altro lavoro? ci sono molti posti di lavoro in Australia. Ho prolungato il mio soggiorno in diverse occasioni e ogni volta che mi hanno reclutato più della percentuale corretta per il pagamento della carta, ho dovuto spingere a correggere l'errore. Il posto non è male, la posizione è molto buona, ma le ragazze alla reception mi hanno rovinato il soggiorno e fin dall'inizio mi hanno fatto sentire incomodo. Ho soggiornato in un campeggio. Il prezzo in una bella città come se non fosse niente, solo il sito era troppo piccolo.

My husband and I booked a Deluxe King Spa Room for 5 nights, 6 days including continental breakfast. Overall we were happy with our stay. Staff were friendly, room was clean, the pool area was lovely. Only small complaints are that the pillows were not very comfortable and the bathroom needs updating, the water pressure in the shower was very bad. The restaurant in the resort was lovely for our daily breakfasts but very expensive. If you wanted hot food for breakfast you had to pay for it and the price of $5 for a hash brown, $5 for bacon and $3 for a poached egg was exuberant. We realised that the inclusive continental breakfast did not include hot breakfast foods. The choice of other breakfast foods was ok. I, personally would like to give a shout out to Christina at reception for looking after me when I needed a special favour 😊.
