I put the do not disturb sign on the door. At about 9am the maid walked in while I was not wearing pants. I went to the front desk to tell them. They said sorry and shrugged. I told them it is not OK that a maid goes into a room with a do not disturb sign on the door.
I then went out for only 1 hour with the sign still on the door. When I came back, the maid had been in my room AGAIN!!
Again I went to the front desk to tell them and they could not give me an answer as to why the maid went into my room for a 2nd time with the do not disturb sign still on the door.
I felt violated and unsafe.
Do not stay here if you want any kind of privacy in your room, the maid will just let herself in while you are naked and no one will care or do anything about it

性價比不高，有接車服務，走路感覺有點遠，雖然小鎮不大，可以找車站附近的，走路在倆分鐘左右的更好，尤其行李多。這裏海拔低

I found this hotel after having a horrible experience at another hotel nearby. Angelina was so kind and helpful when I came in very stressed, tired, and frustrated carrying my kid who also had little to no sleep the night before. After telling her my experience at the other hotel, she offered to show me my room before I paid so I would be comfortable. The room itself was wonderful. Large bed, much larger room than many hotels around, smelled good, was clean, and had hot water. The hotel is nice and convenient from the train station drop off, and there is laundry next door. There is also an elevator, which is really convenient. The breakfast is actually breakfast with a large buffet with many options, way better again than the other hotel we stayed at. They store your luggage after checkout as well, and even though the hotel was almost fully booked, Angelina remembered us every time we walked in and out, and even offered us an umbrella or rain coat on a rainy day. In comparison to the nearby options, I'd choose this one 1000 times over.

Decent rooms in terms of size. Our room had a funny smell and we realized later that our toilet leaked. The shower was hit or miss. Some days it took 10 minutes to get warm, one day I had to take a cold shower, but then the next morning it was totally fine and hot. A little unpredictable. The location was fine, Aguas Calientes is small and walkable. The room was reasonably clean. The breakfast was hectic because everyone got an early start to Machu Picchu and they only had a single person working the kitchen, so they constantly ran out of juice, eggs, bread, etc. The front desk staff was not great. They took our passports at check in and told us we could come back to pick them up in 20 minutes (would have been nice if they had offered to deliver them to the rooms but OK). When I showed up downstairs to retrieve my family's passports, the front desk and lobby area were empty, a stack of 10+ passports was displayed on the bar and the door to the hotel was propped open. Anyone could have walked in from the street and grabbed the stack on passports!! I would not recommend this hotel. There are enough other choices in Aguas Calientes.

Nice location, busy area. We took the train in from Machu Picchu and had to walk a bit to get there. Staff were very nice, okay breakfast, clean rooms. There are a couple of laundry services near by. A little noisy at night but that’s to be expected in the city

The hotel was in a decent location to walking around, but also a bit off center to be nicely quiet. Close enough to train station. Breakfast was very nice. Laundry services prompt. Front desk knew English. Good coordination of tour services. Cleaning staff were thorough. It is a basic hotel but very good with good cost. 100% recommend.

Good option to stay in Águas Calientes. It is located a little bit far from the main center, but in a very short walk (about 5 minutes) you reach the artisan market, train station and restaurants. The hotel itself is nice. The staff is friendly. The room is big, clean and confortable. The breakfast is ok, but could be improved.

No, it is not The Park Hyatt, but remember, you are in the mountains of Peru, readying for a trek, not shopping on Fifth Avenue. The hotel is clean, safe, quiet conveniently located to restaurants, the train station, shpos and bars...the beds are comfortable, the shower and wifi work fine, breakfast was more than adequate. The chap running th property was super friendly and helpful, going out of his way to look after us. Even after checking out and returning inn the afternoon we were welcomed with tea and a dry place to shelter. We'd come back here simply due the kindnesss we were afforded.
