The Sand Suites - Adults Only

My wife and I stayed in the Unique Suite for 4 nights during our honeymoon. Everything about the Sand Suites was absolutely fantastic, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. The suite (the pool is even more amazing than pictures suggest) and location so close to the beautiful Almyros beach and short drive to Agios Nikolaos made this a wonderful stay. What really elevated our stay though was the incredibly helpful service from the staff. Dimitris was so thoughtful and attentive to our needs and truly elevated our experience not only at the hotel but throughout our adventures in Crete. This will forever be a special place for us, and we will most definitely return to stay here for an even longer stay in the future!

Just returned from a lovely week in the sand suites. We couldn’t fault our stay at all. The rooms were cleaned to very high standards every day. We had a bottle of wine in our fridge upon arrival. The staff are amazing. Dimitris the manager is outstanding at his job- always on hand when you need something and always goes the extra mile. It was my 30th birthday whilst we were away and I came back to our room with a cake on the table and rose petals on the bed. The housekeeping & breakfast girls are lovely & friendly too (I didn’t manage to get their names) but are fab. The overall suites are lovely and quiet, a very relaxing atmosphere with a walk way to the beach. Our plunge pool suite was good and had two balconies - one view of the mountains and another of the sea. We will definitely be returning in the future. We got engaged whilst in Crete so maybe be back for our honeymoon one day?! Thank you for an excellent stay.

Perfect place to relax. Amazing sea view. Foot access to beach with some steps and there you are. Excellent international breakfast. Helpfull and discrete staff. Luxurious atmosphere and complete privacy. Even in October wonderful weather.

We stayed at the Sand Suites in August and it was fantastic. The room was spotless and cleaned every day. The pool that was with our suite was beautiful with comfy beds to lie on and different places to sit. Breakfast was amazing and enough food was provided in the breakfast box to cover lunch as well. What a lovely was it was to receive breakfast.... delivered to your room at the time you requested and you could sit outside, relax and enjoy. From freshly squeezed orange juice, to scrambled egg with feta (my favourite) to spinach pies and freshly made coffee you couldn't want for more. The access to the beach was perfect a trot down a flight of stairs, across the blue river bridge and straight onto the sand and it was such a lovely beach. You could walk to town if you wanted to from here, but you could also book a taxi if needed. The staff were amazing, the lady that cleaned and brought breakfast was fantastic (we never got her name) always smiling and helpful and Maximus the receptionist was great always answering your texts in minutes for a taxi or advice. When we arrived late at night from the airport (22:40) he had booked us a taxi at 23:00 to a restaurant in the town and we sat there till 1am by the beautiful lake and had fantastic food. What a wonderful way to start the holiday. Can't recommend this place enough it really is a beautiful and secret little find.

We had informed ourselves comprehensively about the Sandsuites quite early on. Mainly also about recessions on various platforms. Many wrote about the experience when the gate at the entrance opens for the first time. We both have to say: that was uniquely beautiful. We were already awaited and warmly welcomed by Maximus. After the mental "arrival" and the introduction to the premises, we first realized how beautiful it is there. A heavenly peace, extremely courteous staff who almost read the wishes on your nose and make your holiday even more beautiful. We had a suite with its own pool and the view towards the gate. The park was a dream. She was lovingly cared for and was always in great condition. Breakfast was the next highlight. Through previous reviews, we have roughly known what was waiting for us :) something different every morning. Delicious Greek yogurt and good honey. With fresh orange juice and other treats. If you don't get fed up and find variety, you can't help it. We would like to thank the entire team around the Sand Suites for this uniquely beautiful time, but especially Maximus for his tireless help and his heartfelt commitment to us. We liked it very much and we are willing to come back next year if our time and health allow. August 2023, greetings from Claudia and Michael from Germany
