Banyan Tree

A short drive from Litchfield and you are welcomed to a true little slice of paradise. The accommodation (I stayed in the Brumby cabin) was spotlessly clean with air con, a full kitchenette complete with kettle, two seater dining table and good size shower. Outside, lush greenery surrounds the gorgeous hardwood balcony and bar counter, while cows graze on the grass in the late afternoon right out the front! A walk around the property sees more of it's beautiful green and large shading trees, horses, an inground pool and of course it's crowning jewel, the large banyan tree. Draped in fairy lights, the banyan tree overlooks the large bar/on ground pub which seats inside and out. The owners and staff were so warm and friendly - If you can have a laugh and love a bit of banter you will have a wonderful time and be left wondering how you only just met these people! The patrons/other guests were just as friendly and welcoming. The pizza was great, good price and a large size. The drink prices are clearly indicated so there are no surprises and happy hour is very reasonable. They do not do breakfast but happily pass on the information to other local sites that do provide. As a female, I felt very safe, respected and comfortable. A little tip: The dogs on the property are delightfully cute but pick one up for a cuddle and watch the whole pub boo you!!! Working dogs are just that - thank you for forgiving this southerner Banyan!! I cannot recommend the Banyan Tree highly enough – the perfect little outback escape :)

The staff here are amazing! Jono behind the bar is a legend and made sure I felt super welcome and comfortable. Rooms are tidy and cosy, not that I was really in it between the national park, the pool, the animals and the live music at the Tree by Steve Case. Thanks Banyan Tree, I’ll be back.

Great place to camp. Lovely shady sites in a beautiful setting. Brand new washing machines. Nightly entertainment and delicious burgers. Within easy driving distance to all the waterfalls and the magnetic ant hills. Wish we could have stayed longer.

DO NOT STAY HERE Staff rude. Waited ages to check in, left a bad review on google and the owner came over screaming at us to leave. Spent more time waiting to check in than we actually spent checked in. Don’t love you yelling and swearing in front of my kids Owner gives off mad sleaze vibes and heaps of pictures of boobs in reception plastered on the wall Overall just gross Stay down the road, they’re much nicer

The best little Oasis in the Territory, comfortable cabins , great food, wonderful hosts with local knowledge and the gate way to the amazing Litchfield National Park makes this a must visit place . Jonno and Lettie can not do enough for their guests and make sure every stay is great. Animals for the kids to watch and pat makes it a great family experience

Staff are absolutely amazing, proper territorian's. Great nightly entertainment, green camp grounds with clean amenities and even better rooms ( rooms smellt devine!) Definitely worth the stop weather it's for camping or just a few brews
