Kuriftu Resort African Village

My experience at Kuriftu African Village was truly great. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, beautifully showcasing African culture and hospitality. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the environment felt peaceful and well-designed. I really enjoyed exploring the village, trying the food, and relaxing in the serene surroundings. It’s an excellent place for anyone looking to unwind, learn, and enjoy a unique cultural experience.

I had a brilliant time at Kuriftu Resort and spa African Village. The room was very spacious and had incredible views over the city - at night it was particularly spectacular. The gardens are filled with rosemary, lavender and a host of beautiful flowers which are very well kept. I enjoyed a 90 minute massage in the spa very much. I also enjoyed the gym and pool which allowed me to feel a little better about all the food and drinks I indulged in while there. I must say, the Ethiopian cuisine is so good and I really enjoyed it so much. Most of all though, the hospitality and warmth I was received with was truly the most memorable. I feel like I’ve made good friends there and I really look forward to returning. Kuriftu: African Village was, for me an oasis in Addis and definitely worthy of recommendation and I will certainly be back.

My family and I stayed here for two nights during our trip in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the most amazing service and hospitality we’ve ever received from an establishment. While checking in, we were given freshly squeezed watermelon juice which was so refreshing. The staff immediately carried our bags to our room, giving us a tour of the grounds on the way there. Overnight, there are staff scattered across the grounds for safety and convenience. They also proved daily housekeeping and 24/7 room service. The food served at their 24/7 on-site restaurant was amazing and authentic! They always had both Ethiopian and Western cuisines to choose from. The staff carried our plates, served us drinks, pulled out our chairs, and checked on us repeatedly to ensure our happiness and satisfaction. Amazing service! The massages we received were also great - we were able to use the steam room & sauna before getting our massage, which only added to our relaxation. While in the spa, you are offered refreshments and the opportunity to use a day bed to recover from the sauna/steam room. The indoor pool is also a nice way to unwind and lounge. Overall, the staff were all incredibly kind, accommodating, and attentive. The managers Abayneh and Kasaye are saints - they worked hard to ensure we were happy throughout our stay and had everything we needed! It was more than good service, they treated us like family. I can’t say enough good things about them. My family and I have been blessed enough to stay at resorts in many different countries, but this resort was hands-down the BEST, especially for the price. We were sad to leave! I don’t have a single complaint. We will definitely be coming back and spreading the word.

Wonderful get away with good friends! The service was excellent from check-in to restaurant to spa. We enjoyed our huge room and had many hours of laughs and reminiscing by the fire place.
