Number One Hundred Bed and Breakfast

A clean and well presented refurbished property that has maintained the integrity of its period. We stayed in room 2 which was lovely and comfortable. While this is not a criticism, unavoidable early morning / late night noise can be heard from the hallway. A short easy walk into the town centre. Whilst we did not choose breakfast as we were visiting family, the choices looked lovely. We would undoubtedly visit again.

We had a well presented and decent room. We had comfortable three nights stay and throughout the time, the room was cleaned and bedding tidied up daily. There is easy, safe and ample free parking in the nearby street.

This bed and breakfast is about a 20 minute walk to the city centre and another ten mintes to Cardiff central train station. It was a quiet and peaceful stay. We saw a couple of other guests and said hello, but otherwise it sometimes felt as though we had the place to ourselves! The room was comfortable and clean with everything that we needed. We had Netflix, a kettle, a hairdryer and lots of clean towels. Downstairs, we could use the microwave in the evening and there were plates and cutlery. There was a communal fridge, with labels to write your room number number and check out date. The host, Abi, was friendly and responsive. She replied to me on whattsapp to answer questions and gave recommendations. This was a nice mix between a rented house or flat and a hotel.

We spent 3 nights in this Bed and Breakfast place. It was best value lodging and around 20-25 min walk into old town historic center. There is no private parking, and we needed to make sure that we didn’t park in a resident with permit required. Although it is on a busy street, our room was quiet and comfortable. It is a self-checkin process where we were given an entry code to the apartment and a separate code to our room. The room was small though it has a little “hall” that had a table that has coffee maker with instant coffee and teas. The breakfast area has a nice, comfortable lounge. It has a refrigerator where we can put our food & drinks. The complimentary breakfast is continental style with pastries, fruits, yogurts, bread, & condiments. The best part of breakfast is the cappuccino maker. I am prediabetic and it would have been good to have either cold meats or hard boiled eggs for breakfast. The staff and the owner were friendly. The facilities were clean and the front yard was well kept. It is walking distance to restaurants and a pub. There is also a gas station nearby though we didn’t need to go. Overall, we enjoyed our first time staying in Cardiff and recommend this place.
