Barnsley Resort

We attended the Swine and Wine event in October, 2024 and it was an amazing event and weekend. We had a two bedroom cottage that my husband and I shared with my brother and sister-in-law. We did the five stand shooting experience, bourbon tasting, ate at Woodlands grill and Beer Garden. Everything about our trip was amazing. From the leadership team to every team member, everyone cares and it shows! The property is also in excellent condition! Enjoy!

We had an amazing time at the Barnsley Resort. The cottages are very spacious and homey! You have privacy, yet very close to all amenities. Loved the evening fire pits and complimentary s’mores. The food at Beer Garden and Woodlands Grill was excellent! We enjoyed hiking the grounds, touring the manor house and gardens and just relaxing!

Our stay at Barnsley Resort was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived around 9:30pm for a late check-in, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality. The woman working guest services was waiting with the door open, expecting us, and greeted us by name. This personal touch made us feel incredibly welcome and set the tone for an unforgettable experience. The resort grounds were breathtaking, with beautifully manicured gardens, historic ruins, and serene walking paths. Our accommodations were luxurious and thoughtfully designed, providing the perfect blend of comfort and elegance. Every detail, from the plush bedding to the well-appointed amenities, made us feel pampered and relaxed.

There are not enough good things for me to say about how incredible this trip was for me and my husband and our two dogs. I cannot wait to go back!

If you are looking to get out into the Georgia countryside and have an upscale experience, this is your place. There were a variety of accommodations, ranging from standard hotel-style rooms to cottages to an amazing rustic cabin we stayed in. Activities here are mostly outdoors stuff: clay shooting, kayaking, horseback riding, etc. Great resort overall

So many things wrong with this resort, it is set in a beautiful location lovely golf course nice spa but that's where things end. You have to request daily housekeeping believe it or not. These folks are still living in 2020. You heard me right, you must request housekeeping service. The coffee service for our cottage suite included two pods of coffee for me and my wife Rather than four or six. And two very small bottles of water with no way to get additional water other than the tap. And frankly I don't trust these taps They had a price menu for the honor bar, but there was nothing in the honor bar. We requested in room dining for breakfast. We were told it would take 15 to 20 minutes. It took 40 minutes when I got my bill for dinner the first night we were there, I added a significant gratuity, even though the bill seemed high, I didn't check it, shame on me. when I was presented the next bill, it seemed pretty high for dinner and I looked at the bill and it included a 20% service charge. Nobody even bothered to tell me that was included in the bill. Set your expectations before you come to this place that you are not going to get extraordinary service and you have to request housekeeping. If you expect nothing service wise, then you'll probably have your expectations met I will say that the cigar offering at the bar at the Woodlands Grill was pretty vast. However, every cigar that I pulled out, and I had four of them, was hard and brittle. None of them were smokable. To the managers credit he did give me a free Davidoff. That cigar was actually smokable. And his credit he bought my wife and I and my son and daughter-in-law round of drinks for the hassle with the cigars earlier in the day that was a rather redeeming moment for me at this resort.
