We booked last minute and super late, we call the place and the lady was super nice leaving the keys on a safe spot for us to pick when we arrived past midnight, we are super grateful with her, then we woke up and they made us an amazing breakfast, super friendly people.
We ended it ip here by mistake but we are Happy about this mistake, loved the place and will definitely go back.

Nice room, very clean. Lovely walk to the loch just a few minutes away. Evening meals were delicious.

Nice setting and comfortable room but couldn't take shower - only got very got water. Rules about table service at bar were confused and there seemed to be little adherence to wearing masks when not seated.

Two main observations. Firstly, the hotel is very tired snd needs a good spruce up. The entrance is very uninviting, drab decor and lacking a welcome. ****s at the door step would be easily removed. This theme is repeated throughout, and although the room was acceptable, again there are many little things which could be easily rectified - hook on back of shower room door, waterproof seal at the front of the shower, door that doesnt close properly. A handyman / gardener for 2 or 3 dats a week would make a big difference.
On the other hand, the food was excellent, especially the seafood - langoustines, scallops to due for, and very tasty kippers for breakfast.
Covid has obviously made things difficult, but this hotel, in the centre of magnificent and interesting landscapes has the potential to be something far more special.

We have just returned from our weekend at Loch Shiel Hotel. We booked this hotel as we planned to go and visit all the stunning beaches and possibly camp out one night. The hotel was better than our expectations! Fun and friendly bar! Lovely and cosy. We were happy to find board games :) breakfast was lovely and we LOVED our meals for dinner. Fish was huge and the macaroni cheese was delicious and well sized. Fab prices too. Staff were very friendly and welcomed our dog Betty . The hotel owner (sorry I'm terrible with names) even offered to drive us to one of the local beaches! We will definitely be back and bringing our children next time. Thank you so much for having us :)

Had a meal in the hotel. Booking 100% advisable. Superb surroundings. Excellent parking. Great staff very friendly and great service. Good variety of food on the menu. Very reasonable prices. Big portions. Would highly recommend this place
