Best Western Abilene Inn Suites

After driving for over 12 hours only to find the room we were booked in was 85 degrees. The A/C was not running when we entered the room. The maintenance person replaced the a/c unit-still did not work. The second one he installed worked. This process took about two hours. When we reported this to the desk clerk, she was very rude. She acted like she did not want to be bothered. I asked if they would move us to another room, and she said they were booked up. I find this hard to believe as it was a Monday night and the parking lot was not full. I logged a complaint to the 800-custermer service number. I followed back 2 days later only to be told since it was my word against the hotels there was nothing they would do. All I wanted was compensation for the room. She also said the clerk offered us to leave and they would refund our money. That is not true, because if she had we would have walked over to the holiday inn across the street. I do not recommend this hotel until corporate can employ front office personal that are they for the customer and listen to paying guests.

I arrived Monday the 9th. I have o pair of brand new bifocal and transition glasses ($395), I wear them to watch TV and be in my computer. I wear contacts to go to work and being outside. At night when I got back from work. I wear them to watch TV. That same day after work I was looking for my glasses after I removed my contacts, and they were gone. I called the front desk and asked if she could help me looking from them since I removed my contacts and I couldn’t see well. She never found them only the red case it was on the nightstand. I asked her I would like to talk with the manager, she told me she will be available until today Wednesday. I asked Andy to tell Nicole the manager to call me, she didn’t do it until I got to the hotel after work around 4:30pm. Andy was at the front desk and I mentioned to her the manager never called me. I asked her again to tell the manager Nicole to call me so she finally did it. What a surprise Nicole ‘s way to answered to me saying “ it’s not our responsibility you don’t find your glasses, our housekeeper has been working with us for a long time” she wasn’t nice and considerate to let me explain to her what happened, to the point I told her let me please talk and explain to you my point, she just kept silence and was rude again saying it’s not her responsibility. What a bad attitude. I never expect to be treated like this and the most important thing to lose my new prescription glasses in this hotel and nothing happened at all! Horrible service.

The property is clearly older but well cared for. It was quiet, spacious, and comfortable. I’d stay again.

Great hotel Nice, clean, comfortable room. Good continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Needed a wheelchair accessible room and recwived one. It had a walkin shower with a shower seat. Great hotel at a reasonable price.

Room 205 was Filthy: Couch bed, had socks, chips, hair, crumbs, etc. all over it/ in it. I was told there’s "Nothing we can do" Long strands of hair in the bed. Bed had hair in it & black dots like oil residue. Hot water was actually cold water. Volume on TV didn't work. AC sounded like a running motor in a gocart.. very disturbing. Restroom door jammed could not open it. My 7 yr old had to use the bathroom I literally had to almost break the door down to get it open. Towels dingy. Outlets didn't work beside the bed. Smoking at entrance. Breakfast was really not Breakfast.

I have been going to this particular, BEST western hotel in Abilene, Texas for over two years. I stay there at least five nights once a month. I have always had excellent care and any questions I have been answered with no problem. I will continue to stay there as long as I am able to go to my job in that city. I enjoy staying there because the owners and the staff are very hospitable and make you feel very welcome.
