For such a big brand like Park Inn, I’ll expect that they have a culture of when they change their utilities like TV furnitures etc, for example most of the TVs in the room are old, a guest have little or no options of channels to watch on the glorified DSTV, imagine most people that may want to connect their Netflix to the tv screen but the TVs are not compatible? That’s why there’s a saying if you don’t follow technology, it may leave you behind. So my candid advise is for the management to look into this. Secondly the staff should be well trained, in Nigeria we don’t value training of staff or professionals in a particular field and that’s why we don’t have professionals working in that field, how many higher institutions offer career courses in hospitality business? We will rather put a notice outside seeking the services of just anyone without the hospitality background… notice like ‘2 waiters needed within’ salary very good… and when you end up hire a primary school graduate that will frustrate your guest and not trained again. When you visit hotels that are not even at the same level with Park Inn in places like Kenya or Rwanda, you will see professionalism I. Hospitality business, the way graduates in that field will treat you will always want you to come back. Sometimes the uniform on some of the staff will be begging for replacement. Please look into this hopefully we will have a better society
