Hotel in zona Abbeyleix Heritage House, Abbeyleix

Sono rimasto qui prima e sono tornato, perché potevo essere sicura di un buon soggiorno. Da prenotazione al check-in era innocuo. La stanza era grande, comoda, luminosa e molto pulita. Il personale era molto accogliente e niente era un problema. La colazione è molto vasta, qualcosa per tutti e molto fresca. In tutto, un grande soggiorno.

Needed a night away and saw an offer on Rorys travel club for the Avalon. Swift check-in, however, I was asked to pay up front, which I found a little offensive. The room was spotless, if a little warm, but a desktop fan was swiftly supplied. For some reason, I was allocated a wheelchair room so the shower was a little crowded because of the equipment required for such a facility. Towels were very rough and no shower caps supplied. So bring your own. Restaurant was closed, so dinner was served in the bar, which was not really comfortable. I ordered the chicken wings, followed by seabass. The wings arrived and unfortunately they were covered in a type of paste as opposed to a sauce. They were more of a casserole constituency. First time ever that I left wings behind. The seabass came out swiftly, too swiftly. Before the server had a chance to place it on the table, I saw the huge pile of food. There was a mountain of diced veg and mashed potatoes. The seabass was placed on top, and the whole thing was smothered in a white sauce. I requested that she return it to the kitchen and replace it with plain seabass with the potatoes on the side and no sauce. This was promptly taken care of and was served as it should be. The fish was excellent, melt in the mouth and well cooked. Perfect. Night passed peacefully, except for a rather loud extractor fan outside my bedroom window, which was eventually switched off at 11.26pm. Breakfast was very good, but you have to queue to make your toast because there is only one toaster. Coffee was strong and plentiful. The Avalon is a no frills, budget hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food portions are enormous, and there is plenty of outside seating for us nasty smokers. In conclusion, it is a really nice place for the price. I would say they get a lot of business people, passing through and families visiting the nearby discovery park. The jewel in their crown is their staff and you certainly won't leave hungry.

Perfect location and rooms were lovely. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the beds were very comfortable. There are definitely some things that could be better. Would let guest know its over bath shower in advance of stay, people have mobility issues and with modern bathrooms assume these things might be accessible but climbing into bath for a shower was not ideal. After a long day driving and touring would be nice to have tv reception in room, it was really bad reception and very few channels to browse. Breakfast ‘hot’ foot was not hot and got even colder with only having cold plates to put the food on to. Toasters are so slow, need to put toast on 10 minutes before rest of food. Iron and table in room would be good. These things wouldn’t put us off staying but they are all things that take away the shine of a nice place.

Ci siamo trovati molto bene. L'hotel è abbastanza grande, ha delle stanze eleganti e curate. Il pub dell'hotel è carinissimo, ottimo per passare delle serate in compagnia dopo cena. Camere ampie e luminose. Consigliato se si è in zona!!!!!!

Situazione molto conveniente: lanciare la pietra dalla stazione ferroviaria e proprio nel centro della città vicino al castello e alcuni bar molto bello. Il loro bar serve anche buon cibo e è un La porta frontale si chiude alle 10 e si può accedere solo dal buzzer al bar adiacente e sono molto rigorosi per l'accesso degli ospiti. Se siete un paio si accerti di scegliere per 2 quando si effettua la prenotazione. Il colazione è ampio, e le camere sono confortevoli, quindi in generale si alzano.

Durante il nostro recente soggiorno a Rafters Gastropub e alloggi nel cuore di Kilkenny, sono stato profondamente impressionato dall'esperienza generale. Il centro di questa bellissima città, in un ambiente caldo e accogliente, si trova a Rafters, che completa perfettamente il suo ambiente storico. Mentre i letti erano soddisfacenti e non lussuosi, offriscono una notte decente, essenziale per ogni viaggiatore, e il bagno in camera, puro e funzionale, fornisce tutte le attrezzature necessarie. Una delle principali caratteristiche del mio soggiorno era la colazione continentale, che aveva una vasta selezione di pascoli freschi, frutta, cereali e bevande, tutte di alta qualità e ben presentate. Il gastropub è una gioiello, l'atmosfera è rustica e raffinata, offrendo un grande luogo per rilassarsi e godere di un pasto o di una bevanda. Il menu dispone di una varietà di piatti, tutti preparati con ingredienti locali e serviti con un piatto creativo. Situato nel cuore di Kilkenny, Rafters è perfettamente situato per chiunque cerca di esplorare la città.Tutto è a pochi passi, rendendo conveniente visitare attrazioni locali, negozi e siti culturali. In generale, Rafters Gastropub e Accommodations offre un piacevole soggiorno con letti soddisfacenti, un buon colazione continentale e un luogo invincibile nel cuore di Kilkenny.
