Super leuk en gezellig hotel met uitstekend ontbijt buffet. Aanrader als je in deze regio wil verblijven.

It you are looking for a place with charm set in a relaxed environment (removed from the hustle and bustle of the city) look no further. The staff was helpful and professional, they offer a small European style buffet breakfast with a beautiful view of the back patio and park, and in the evenings, they have a refrigerator with various drinks for the guest's which is set-up on an honor system. The bed was comfortable, and the room is larger than many of the chain hotels in the city center (see photos). The only issue is the lack of air conditioning, upon entering my room the standing fan read 32c so I had to open the window (outside temperature was 29c) and place fan in the window (see photos). In the evening the room had cooled to 25c and leaving the windows open overnight, with the fan blowing, cooled to 23c. Rooms are locked with physical keys (instead of keycards), the keychains have a heavy weight with the room number (likely used to unlock the front door after hours in the past, now they use a keypad and code), the grounds are a nice back drop for video calls, and the neighborhood has great restaurants and paths for exercise or just exploring.

Fabulous place in a super area. Location ideal - there is a bus stop just outside the hotel and frequent buses in/out of Antwerp centre (travel time 35 mins). This is an ideal place to stay, with highly welcoming staff, and a most pleasurable way to visit Antwer.

Nice place. Breakfast could have been better. The scrambled eggs were not fresh and were hard. This early in the morning

We stayed for 3 nights. The receptionists were extremely friendly and helped us to find restaurants for Dinner as the hotel only offers breakfast buffet (very Nice). Also they served coffee when we returned from the day trips. Aartselaar is located approx 12 km South of Antwerp. Remember to register your car to LEZ if you want to drive around Antwerp. Otherwise you risk a fine. The hotel is located in a beautiful area - Big court yard and garden. In one of the buildings there is a separate restaurant (Mille feuilles) - a little pricy, but delicious. We had a very Nice stay and would love to return.

Super location very romantic

The history of Castle Solhof dates back to 1414 and at one time it was surrounded by moat and castle walls, the moat and turrets of the castle still survive today. Now a hotel the present owners bought the Castle in 1990. The entrance and cobbled courtyard are very impressive, with an ornate fountain / pond and neatly pruned hedges. At check-in the receptionist did not seem at all bothered about Covid and said I should remove my mask as it was not needed, even though I had just arrived from the UK and driven through France! I had a Superior Twin Room (#19) with two large beds. The room was nicely furnished, with maybe a table too many, and I loved the tall windows over looking the front courtyard. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was for its free courtyard parking and I could see my car safely from my room. I had no meal plan at the hotel so I can't comment on that. My room was very warm and I couldn't see how to control the heating, so I opened both windows! The bed was comfortable and the room clean, but I do hate a shower in a bath with a clingy shower curtain. My room was €99 booked via *******.

Fine hotel located in Aartselaar, close to Kontich. We were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who helped us on our way. There is an open bar with a fridge in the lobby, just take and write what you use, nice concept. The rooms are a bit dated and I have reasons to believe that the last renovation took place ＞ 10 years ago. Despite this the rooms are clean, and quiet. In front of the castle is a parking place, easy to park here. Did not take a breakfast this time.
