A question to think about, ‘What makes a hotel a luxury one?’ To me, it’s luxury because of the hospitality of the staff, quality of the property and the food they provided totally exceed travellers’ expectations, and as a result, we would love to pay more for the experience. Some staff really tried their very best to help me during my stay while some just didn’t. Upon arrival, I tried to communicate with the staff that I’d like to cancel my third night’s dinner because of the change of my plan. At first, I booked six meals in total and I’d only want to cancel one dinner and they said I needed to pay 100% for the cancelled meal because they have already bought the ingredients. Okay, I tried to understand that because they had already taken away my credit card and there’s nothing I could do about that and I thought it must be a very nice meal and that’s why they insisted that. Disappointingly, the portion was so small and paying the same amount of money I could get so much better food in 虹夕諾雅 or any other five star onsen hotels in Japan. As a result, I went to bed feeling hungry and eating the snacks I bought for myself :( The food portions are like a bento instead of a proper meal. ) Also, the Western style breakfast was so overpriced and the avocado in the omelette was not fresh at all. One more thing to note is that the complimentary champagne service they provided to their guests. It’s a nice experience but maybe I’m just a lady travelling alone and I couldn’t speak Japanese at all, the waitress didn’t serve me the same way as she served other people in the cafe. When all of them got two glasses of free drinks, one cocktail and one champagne, she only gave me one champagne and didn’t offer me the cocktail. And the day after, there was a nice staff who served me properly and I finally realized that I am entitled to two drinks. (Sigh)The experience was like buying a Chanel bag. The bag was pricey but the chain of the bag just suddenly fall apart while you are using it for the very first time. My advice is: Don’t use their catering services especially for the in-room dining plan. There are so many better choices out there in the city. The room and the service of the staff are great tho.

I vantaggi sono molti. 1. La posizione è estremamente comoda, puoi uscire dalla stazione senza salire o scendere, puoi vedere i binari della stazione qui sotto dal piano superiore dell'hotel. Non lontano nemmeno dalle principali attrazioni. 2. Le strutture circostanti sono complete, per non parlare dei minimarket, c'è un grande supermercato al piano di sotto dell'hotel e ci sono diversi posti dove mangiare, tutti convenienti e di buon gusto. 3. Il servizio dell'hotel è molto cordiale. 4. C'è una sorgente termale gratuita♨️. Ma è piuttosto piccola: ci sono due piscine per uomini, una grande e una piccola, che possono ospitare 6 o 7 persone in totale. 5. Sceglierò di rimanere qui la prossima volta che verrò.

A eccezione della camera un po' piccola, tutto il resto è stato perfetto. Si tratta di un hotel termale (onsen) in cui è consuetudine indossare gli abiti forniti dalla struttura e togliersi le scarpe. È molto adatto ai bambini: hanno fornito un set di vestiti e prodotti per il bagno per neonati, e il ristorante dispone di seggioloni. A cena c'erano noodles con salsa di soia e bevande. La colazione era abbondante e ricca, con alcune specialità di Nara e molti piccoli piatti e ciotole. Al primo piano si trova l'onsen, diviso per uomini e donne. All'interno ci sono vasche con acqua calda e fredda, mentre all'esterno si trova una vasca termale e una sauna. Dopo il bagno è possibile fare la doccia. Neonati e bambini piccoli non dovrebbero fare il bagno nell'onsen se l'acqua è troppo calda o troppo fredda; una semplice doccia è sufficiente. Fuori dall'area dell'onsen si possono gustare ghiaccioli e leggere fumetti (manga), cosa che piacerà molto ai bambini.

Definitely not the best our stay when travelling Japan. Onsen was cool, most times i’ve been there alone. Very refreshing experience. Loved the food they served for breakfast and dinner. Service from the staff was good but sometimes that felt too much. Location was great. The village is very pretty, lots of shops, caffès, even the brewerie. We went hiking and had a ride on monorail, that was fun. Nature in these places is amazing. But there were some things we were sad about when staying at Hanaya Tokubei. • The room was very tired. Lots of dust, forgotten things and strange interior details, trash bags and vases just hidden in the dusty closet in the room. • The window view was on the wall of the neighbour building. • The lack of the toilet and the shower in the room was a big inconvenience. You can take a shower only when entering onsen room. • We heard every sound that came from the outside of the room because the walls are literally made of cardboard. Even in the late hours when we tried to have a rest and sleep our neighbours were having loud time partying and laughing. I had to ask them to be quiet by myself. It was a specific environment for us personally.

Fufu Nara is a wonderful hotel that offers a truly relaxing and luxurious experience. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, with beautiful rooms that feel calm and comfortable. The service is excellent — the staff are attentive, polite, and always ready to help, making us feel very well taken care of throughout our stay. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, using high-quality ingredients that really highlight Japanese cuisine. Every meal felt special and memorable. The location is also great, surrounded by nature and close to Nara’s main attractions, yet very peaceful and quiet. Overall, Fufu Nara is a perfect choice for anyone looking for comfort, great service, amazing food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended

Questo hotel ha il livello più alto del loro gruppo come al solito. In primo luogo, non credevo che il servizio fosse sincero, poiché il ponte frontale si rifiuta di prenotare il ristorante per noi (anche in questo viaggio di dicembre 2025 sono stati rifiutati altri 2 desk front dell'hotel). Ma poi mi hanno offerto un enorme aiuto quando ho incontrato il problema della parcella e che è fuori di ciò che hanno bisogno di offrire. E' davvero utile. La camera gemella superiore è buona per la famiglia di 4 con bambini di età inferiore a 12 anni. Abbiamo messo insieme i letti e ci sono stati 4 posti per imballare e mettere le cose fresche. Grazie all'intero desk front for their help. Il colpo era il colazione medio e non mi consiglio che provare una volta se siete rimasti molto.

L'esperienza molto positiva, la stanza è molto grande, e ci sono zuppe private.Ogni giorno, guardando la scena della neve con zuppe private, è come un posto di scalpamento!La colazione e la cena sono molto ricchi!

Il buon viaggio per guidare il caldo e il caldo è buono. Anche se è necessario aprire la strada montana, il percorso è molto lontano, ma il paesaggio notturno è affascinante, un passo avanti e un caldo è molto curato, vale la pena venire! I dipendenti dell'hotel possono vedere tutti andare in un ambiente occupato e pulito. Quando si sforzano di fare ogni compito in hotel, daranno anche un sorriso gentile, che ti fa sentire come un ospite. Inoltre, il personale e i passeggeri sono in giro per introdurre le attrazioni vicine alla grotta, è molto simile a tornare a casa rurale per una notte! Molto consigliato per vivere il servizio di un hotel tradizionale giapponese caldo per una notte. La cena e la colazione non sono solo un disco di lusso, ma anche deliziosi!Inoltre, l'hotel stesso かきもち è anche un po'di resistenza! 🤤

Incredible ryokan, the best stay I've ever had in Japan. Staff were very helpful and kind right from the warm welcome. The food was absolutely incredible with a good dozen of plates for one person at dinner and another 6-8 plates for breakfast. The garden in front of the building also adds a magnificent touch to the mountainy-traditional side of the trip. Even if a bit expensive, I really felt like my money was going somewhere, didn't regret it. I will 100% remember this stay for a long time, thank you :)

La camera tatami 12 era molto spaziosa e pulita, e la camera era fresca. Inoltre, l'ospitalità giapponese e la loro attenzione ai dettagli rendevano l'intera permanenza molto piacevole. Anche il colazione e la cena erano sorprendenti. Abbiamo anche informato il Ryokan che questo era il nostro 6° anniversario e ci hanno dato una fotografia gratuita, che era bella! Situato in modo appropriato vicino al parco di Nara, e a soli 15 minuti a piedi dalla stazione di Nara o a 10 minuti dalla linea Kittesu.
