Amore questo hotel. L'elemento chiave: il personale, così amichevole e gentile. Soprattutto Uda al desk front, lei era sempre felice, attenta, e si è allontanata dalla sua strada molte volte per vedere le nostre esigenze. È la rappresentante perfetta di tutto amichevole e positivo su questa esperienza di resort.
Questa è la nostra prima gita di sci in Giappone e le strutture sono così piacevole sorpresa. L'hotel ha il proprio noleggio di sci, i biglietti di ascensore venduti proprio fuori dalla porta, 2 ristoranti diversi, e la sua propria mente. Questa è una nuova e bella esperienza per me.
L'hotel è un po' più vecchio e il bagno è piccolo per gli standard occidentali, ma il bidet più che compiuto per questo ( amarlo ) e l'onsen si occupa del rituale di bagno giornaliero ( per me ).
I ristoranti erano un piacevole conforto, abbiamo pagato un po'di colazione e buoni da pranzo, e è stato divertente indossare i nostri yukatas ( vestiti ) tutti
giorno in hotel ( non richiesto ).
Le corse sciistiche sono ben marcate, e le casse sciistiche hanno una bella gita giapponese che ci ha colpito.E la Madapow! ( Madarao polvere) ha sciato generosamente su di noi.
In generale, consiglierei molto Madarao Kogen Hotel. Ancora una volta, arigato gozaimasu a Uda e tutto il personale dell'hotel che ha reso il nostro soggiorno di 3 giorni così bello e rilassante. Sicuramente rimarrebbe qui in futuro.

Номер был достаточно просторный, чистый. Каждый день уборка, замена полотенец и халатов, частая смена постельного белья. Бритвы, зубные щетки, шампуни, мыло, шапочки для душа, чистые халаты всегда в свободном доступе около ресепшена. Вид из нашего окна открывался на горы.
В отеле есть просторная, удобная лыжная комната. Каждому номеру выделяется шкафчик для хранения лыжного оборудования. Вентиляция хорошая. Сушки нет.
В стоимость нашего проживания входили завтрак и ужин, которые нам очень понравились. Шведский стол. Выбор блюд большой, особенно на ужин. На завтрак можно выбрать омлет двух видов, сосиски, колбасу, рыбу, разные овощи, фрукты, сок, молоко, хлопья, салаты, супы, круассаны и т.д . На ужин вообще шикарный выбор блюд: сырая рыба, жареная рыба, тушёная рыба, кальмары, креветки, гребешок, свинина с овощами, тушёная говядина, курица, супы, салаты (огромный выбор), овощи (огромный выбор), национальные пельмени, разумеется рис и спагетти, фрукты, мороженое, пирожные и уже не помню, что ещё)).
Спа в отеле имеет два онсена: первый - в закрытом помещении, второй - в помещении с открытым окном (есть доступ свежего воздуха, что очень приятно) и видом на гору. Так же есть сауна. Зоны отдельные для мужчин и женщин. Вход в бассейн за дополнительную плату (600 йен за взрослого), но кажется бассейн не работал. В зоне спа стоят массажные кресла, всего 100 йен за 10-минутный сеанс. В онсене предоставляются шампуни, кондиционеры для волос, гели для душа и лосьоны для тела.
При отеле есть магазин, где можно купить сувениры, сладости, алкоголь, а так же аксессуары типа очков, масок, перчаток и прочего.
На первом этаже есть прокат горнолыжного оборудования.
Персонал очень вежливый и любезный.
Расположен отель прямо у лыжных склонов и подъемников курорта Норикура. На трассах Норикуры было малолюдно, поэтому до самого вечера состояние склонов было отличное. Прямо от отеля отходят несколько подъемников, с которых можно спуститься по паре красных трасс и по трём зелёным. Комфортно новичкам: широкие, пологие, малолюдные склоны. Норикура соединяется с зоной Кортина, в которой так же интересно кататься. Общая длина трасс около 20 км.
Рядом с отелем остановка шатла, на котором можно доехать до любого курорта Хакубы.
Магазинов рядом нет.
Отель не новый, мебель несколько уставшая, но это нисколько не ухудшило наше пребывание, плюсы отеля это перекрывают на 100 процентов.
Очень рекомендую этот отель.

窓から見える新緑が美しかったです。スタッフの方々もとても感じが良かったです。温泉のお湯はとても熱かったので長湯はできませんでした。車がないと現地まで行くのは難しいです。

It is a very traditional Onsen Hotel. And it was one of the best Onsen Hotel I have ever stayed. Subtle but pretty decorated lobby, spacious room in Japanese style, beautiful river view, great facilities, wonderful food, and most importantly friendly staffs. Highly recommended!

Good hotel at a really decent price point, the only thing is the location there is nothing much to do in Nakano itself but it is very close to the train station, and I think a lot of people staying there had cars. They have different style rooms, the first room I stayed in had a coffee table which I couldn't use for computer work, but then moved to a different room later which had a proper work table which was much better. Also has an onsen which was also nice. Breakfast buffet quite decent, would just request that more vegan options be available.

Ci piace il servizio e la pulizia della stanza. Tuttavia, l'hotel deve aggiornare la sua camera da bagno e immersione. Non si può ottenere una buona temperatura calda in inverno quando ci sono 2 tappeti, uno per il freddo e uno per il caldo. Vedi le foto allegate. Il tubo di gomma in una delle nostre camere da bagno è rotto. Fortunatamente, potrebbero venire subito a sostituirlo per noi. In generale, il soggiorno è ok, ma speriamo che l'hotel possa aggiornare il bagno e il bagno.

Nestled amidst the serene landscapes of Nagano Prefecture, this hotel seamlessly blends traditional Japanese elegance with modern luxury. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were enveloped by a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for the rest of our stay.
Our room was a perfect sanctuary—spacious, meticulously clean, and adorned with subtle touches of Japanese artistry. The panoramic views of the Japanese Alps from our window were nothing short of breathtaking, especially when the mountains were bathed in the soft glow of sunrise. The traditional tatami flooring and comfortable futon bedding provided an authentic experience without sacrificing comfort.
One of the standout features of Shoho is its exceptional onsen facilities. Soaking in the natural hot springs while gazing at the picturesque scenery was incredibly rejuvenating. The rotenburo (outdoor bath) offered a tranquil escape where the stresses of daily life simply melted away. The hotel's attention to detail extended to these spaces, with beautifully crafted woodwork and stone elements enhancing the overall atmosphere.
Culinary delights awaited us at every meal. The kaiseki dinner was a masterpiece—a multi-course feast that highlighted seasonal and local ingredients. Each dish was artfully presented and demonstrated a profound respect for Japanese culinary traditions. The breakfast buffet was equally impressive, offering a wide array of both Japanese and Western options to suit all palates.
The staff at Shoho went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. Their genuine hospitality was evident in every interaction, from assisting with our luggage to offering insightful recommendations on local attractions. Despite any language barriers, their kindness and professionalism shone through.
The hotel's location is ideal for exploring the rich cultural heritage of Matsumoto. We were just a short drive from the iconic Matsumoto Castle, one of Japan's most beautiful original castles. Strolling through the historic Nakamachi Street with its classic white-walled storehouses turned boutique shops and cafes was a delightful way to spend an afternoon.
In addition to its proximity to cultural sites, Shoho serves as a great base for nature enthusiasts. The nearby Kamikochi Valley offers stunning hiking trails that showcase the unspoiled beauty of the Japanese Alps. Returning to the comfort of the hotel after a day of exploration was something we looked forward to, especially knowing a soothing onsen soak awaited us.
In summary, Shoho encapsulates the essence of Japanese hospitality. Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully curated to provide comfort, relaxation, and cultural enrichment. We left feeling deeply refreshed and with a greater appreciation for the wonders of Matsumoto. Shoho is more than just a place to stay—it's an experience that lingers long after you've departed. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and luxurious retreat in Japan.

SseeseaflyWe stayed in the hotel for one week. We like the hotel a lot.
- Staff are nice and helpful, especially a passionate guy at the front desk. They helped us book restaurants and deal with toll payment.
- Breakfast is great. We haven’t felt bored after one week given many varieties. Especially they have “today’s special”, different omelette every day. We like the wasabi cheese omelette. On the other hand, dinner buffet was ordinary. Food became cold. With the same price, we had a nice 7-course French dinner in a nearby restaurant.
- Room is nice and clean, although a bit small. Bed is comfortable with different pillows. We have some difficulty to allocate our big suitcase in the room without block the way.
However, we noticed poor management for laundry room and emergency cases.
- There are only two washing machines. Some people put clothes on washing machines or nearby for queuing. We waited in-person for 15min several times, but someone claimed they came earlier, or said they need to add additional time for dry. We had to wait until midnight to do laundry.
- Nice onsen, but poor emergency handling. One day I heard voices from speaker for ＞15min during shower, and then realized it was from a cell phone when I was in indoor bath pool. A lady with black glasses was using the phone in the pool (not sure if taking photos or videos)! I felt very uncomfortable and went to the outdoor onsen. But she came to outdoor onsen shortly. I went back to indoor onsen, and saw the phone on a chair beside the indoor onsen. Another guest also expressed her concern to me. I called emergency phone in changing room, said three times “someone is using cell phone in bathing area, please send a female staff asap”. Unfortunately the guy who answered the call does not understand English. 5mins later he came to the door of changing room, asking who called SOS. I told him again, and he finally understood, but did nothing except asked my room number. After we checked out the next day, the guy saw me and told me in Japanese that “sorry,but we will improve in future” (showed English translation to me).
I was very disappointed. 1) Why did the hotel ask a guy who doesn’t understand English to take care of female onsen? What if someone fainted? 2) No actions were taken after I reported issue. No one came to stop the issue, no one checked whether inappropriate photos/videos were taken.
Whole staff are nice, the hotel is poorly managed in some places.

BBryce van de LaarFrom the moment you enter Kokuya Ryokan, be prepared to leave the real world behind and fully immerse yourself in the experience. You swap your shoes for slippers at the door and don’t see them again until you leave. You will receive a warm welcome from polite and gentle-mannered staff, get taken up to your beautiful room, and once you’ve changed into your traditional yukata, it’s time to let the relaxation begin. The multi-course dinner will probably be one of the best meals you’ve had in your life, with many unusual textures and flavors to try. The futons are comfortable, and your room is kept toasty warm. There are even skincare products to keep you pampered and moisturized between soaks in the onsen. Honestly, you won’t even need to open your suitcase while you’re there.
The staff will take you through all the logistics when you arrive, but there are some things that might be useful to know in advance.
- The ryokan sends a shuttle to Yudanaka station at about 15:00 to collect new arrivals, so time your journey to take advantage of this benefit.
- The ryokan also offers guests the opportunity to catch a shuttle to the Snow Monkey Park immediately after breakfast the next morning.
- After you leave the ryokan, they will take your luggage down to the coffee shop opposite the station, so you don’t need to worry about those logistics.
- Trains from Yudanaka back to Nagano leave at 12:30 and 15:30.
- The ryokan itself has several private onsens that you can reserve for a 45-minute slot. Because the onsens are on the property, you can go in with your partner or travel companions regardless of gender. It’s a boutique hotel, so you don’t have to worry about not getting access to all the onsens you want.
- The ryokan is on the main road of the Shibu Onsen town. The hotel will give you a key so you can wonder down the main road, visiting any of the public onsens you wish - however, with so many gorgeous and more private onsens in the hotel itself, you probably won’t have time or the desire for this.
- Also, there is a coffee machine in the room! (I was worried about having to survive without coffee, and this turned out to be an unfounded concern).
We had an incredible and totally indulgent time at Kokuya. Experiencing a traditional ryokan is a privilege that you should try at least once if you can. And adding the Snow Monkeys in give the trip a double purpose, making it that much more memorable. The only thing that would have made the trip better is if we had been allowed to linger longer over every course of our dinner.

However, hotel claimed that they do not have aircon during winter season, and said the only way to cool the room was to off the heater (which is the only mode the aircon duct can release), or open the window, though it is prone to bugs entering the room. Not recommended. Can stay at better properties near nagano station at similar price points.

I really liked my room — it was clean, modern, and comfortable. The only thing that surprised me was that the window to the balcony didn’t open, though I suppose it was designed that way.
The onsen was absolutely wonderful — spacious, relaxing, and with a beautiful view of a mountain river. Definitely one of the highlights of my stay.
The hotel also offers many different areas for leisure and entertainment. You can play table tennis, relax in cozy rest zones, visit small cafés and shops — there’s a lot to explore without even leaving the building.
Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a wide variety of food to choose from. However, due to the number of guests, it was a bit challenging for the staff to manage everything smoothly. On two occasions, someone almost took my table, even though I had already placed the reservation card on it to show it was taken.
That said, the staff overall were very pleasant, friendly, and helpful, and I appreciated their attitude throughout my stay.
This hotel is clearly family-oriented, with many families staying with young children. There are rooms with child-friendly designs and dedicated play areas, so if you’re looking for a quiet, adult-only atmosphere, this might not be the best fit.
That said, I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would consider coming back.

HHanaLa posizione è grande, è solo sulla strada principale e sul lago.Ricordo che c'era un negozio di Lawon conveniente non lontano quando abbiamo guidato. Ci siamo rimasti lì per una notte.
Dubito che ci sia stato dato il tipo sbagliato di camera, perché ho prenotato una stanza che può vedere il lago completo di Suwa, ma la stanza che abbiamo è all'angolo. Per la stagione della cera, ci sono tanti mosquiti fuori, così non potevamo aprire una finestra.Secondo le informazioni fornite dall'hotel, i mosquiti non mordono l'uomo, ma creano tinture su vestiti.
Comunque, la stanza ha un po'di assenza privata. Era molto piccola e sembrava un po' vecchia. L'acqua è molto calda, anche se non potevo profumare alcuno zolfo, quindi non è una vera primavera calda. Poiché le finestre non possono essere aperte, quindi è piuttosto stufa dentro il bagno. La stanza è dotata di tutte le strutture, ma non è acqua bollente. L'hotel ha menzionato l'acqua è bevande dal tabulato. La stanza è abbastanza pulita e spaziosa. La materassi è molto bello, è stato bello per riposarsi dopo un intero viaggio di giorno. UUtente ospiteOh! Hotel fantastico, difficile da raggiungere a piedi ma in realtà vicino al sentiero Nakasendo. Le camere sono autentiche tradizionali giapponesi, buffet fantastico, onsen incredibile, lo consigliamo vivamente se state facendo un'escursione sul sentiero Nakasendo.

WWuyayizhiIl servizio di trasferimento dell'hotel alla stazione di Yudanaka mi ha fatto un'ottima prima impressione. Sebbene le strutture siano un po' datate, il personale è molto cordiale, la camera è molto spaziosa e c'è una sorgente termale privata. Ogni mattina, l'hotel offre anche un servizio gratuito di trasferimento per lo Snow Monkey Park. Tuttavia, c'è una piccola pecca nel servizio che ho riscontrato personalmente. Al momento del check-in, l'hotel mi ha informato che il ritorno dallo Snow Monkey Park era previsto per le 12:00, giusto in tempo per l'autobus delle 12:30 per Nagano, ma in realtà erano le 12:30 del giorno dopo. Ho dovuto prendere l'autobus successivo per tornare a Nagano. Dato che c'erano meno autobus, era in ritardo di circa un'ora e mezza.

JJenniferÈ un hotel molto grande. Ci siamo trasferiti nell'ala premium con balcone. La stanza è stata nuovamente ristrutturata, ma c'è un strano odore di russità all'interno della stanza, e anche in una parte della zona di lobby, forse a causa del tessuto, che è piuttosto disgustoso.
Noi noleggiamo una macchina il secondo giorno, parcheggio non è gratuito, è 1000 yen per notte per ospite dell'hotel.
Non abbiamo colazione o cena all'hotel. Quindi non commentiamo molto sui loro servizi. Tuttavia, non ci sentiamo mai benvenuti, perché nessun personale vi salutarà a meno che non quando arriverete con il loro autobus di shuttle per check-in.
Non ci sono saluti quando ci andiamo e andiamo. Proprio come siamo stati trasparenti. Forse siamo stranieri? E forse ci sono troppo ospiti, ma non c'era una coda al momento di controllare come abbiamo lasciato alle 10:00.
Voglio solo lasciare l'asap.
I nostri nemici sono sempre pieni di gente.
Tuttavia, il valore CP è alto. Cosa si aspetta da un grande resort? Non è niente di simile all'hotel ad alta fine. Ma per il prezzo che abbiamo pagato è abbastanza giusto.
