It’s located in a prime location up on a hill with breath taking view. Spacious rooms with good facilities and hospitality. Easy accessible local traffic just down the hill.

serivce and location are good. right next to main street. parking is a bit difficult to find but staffs are nice and had great recommendations to the udon store next door (best one ever). variety of onsen available and private bath as well. food is good (3/5). it would be a bit noisy as they arranged 2 sections of dinner so everyone has to wait outside before the section started. could improve the flow of dinning as i don't want to waste time lining up outside of the restaurant.

Nice Hotel, highly recommend.
The parking lot is very close to the hotel and the receptionist give me clear explanation so that I can find it easily. Besides, there are welcoming gift and free drink.
The room is tidy. Yet, I've selected a smoking room, the smell of smoking is really strong.

i always stay in this hotel coz it’s better than the one closer to commercial street. the air-con is a bit smelly but i love the (1) layout of separated sink (2) a second door that blocked the view of main door (3) public bath (4) a tiny stool for eating (5) close to convenience store and bus stop to airport (6) close to a quiet park.

Great service in a large Japanese Tradional Onsen hotel. Minutes from the famous Kompira Shrine , room is spacious with great facilities, the outdoor Onsen is good but provide no views. Hotel has free car parking in an area some distance away, though shuttle are free.

Amazing place, would need a car to access it but parking is free. The amenities and service is consistent with a top-tier ryokan and I would not hesitate to book again should I ever be back in kanonji

SSiukwangI highly recommend this hotel for those seeking a quiet hot spring experience away from crowds. It is located a bit remotely from the city and surrounded by nature, which I absolutely love!
Driving here is quite accessible. Since I planned to stay for more than one day, they provided a free pickup from the Kotohira JR Station, which is also very convenient. All the staff members are friendly and helpful.
This low-density hotel has around 26 rooms, so it sells out very quickly, especially during peak season. There is a small gift shop, but I found everything I needed there.
The room met my expectations, offering enough space with an outdoor deck and a private hot spring tub. I could hop into the hot spring tub anytime. If in the summer, I would be sitting on the outdoor deck to take in the views of the woods and nature, listening to the birds sing. The lotion provided is of very good quality; I use it every time I finish in the hot spring, as it smooths my skin. I should check if the gift shop sells it.
The minibar is well-stocked with coffee and tea, and a 2-liter bottle of water was provided, along with a filtered water tap in the washroom. The public hot spring is spacious, allowing for plenty of privacy.
One thing I wasn't sure about was that they provided us with a twin bed room. Since I was there with my husband, we expected a double bed room. We didn’t check with them about it because we decided to use the futon bed instead, which was surprisingly comfortable. I ended up sleeping even deeper than on a regular bed.
We were also confused about the futon bed setup requiring an extra charge, guess it was considered an extra bed. However, they arranged it for us without charging extra, which we really appreciated!
The dining experience was fantastic as well. There are different sessions in the restaurant, and they assign different tables for each meal, making it feel like dining in various restaurants. The service was very professional, with the staff explaining each dish to us. Even though one server covered two tables, I felt like they were serving us privately and gave us enough personal time.
The restaurant closes after breakfast and before dinner, which gives you a great opportunity to explore the area during lunchtime. There are also delicious udon restaurants nearby. Just a heads up, though—I didn’t notice any room service available, so if you want snacks in your room, it’s a good idea to prepare your own.
I am looking forward to staying in their other branches!

Aaleu aleuThe staff of Olivean Shodoshima Yuhigaoka Hotel are professional and considerable. Their service are excellent, especially
1) The shuttle bus driver (morning shift strong man, forgot asking his name). When we arrived at Shodoshima Ferry Pier at 11:00am on April 7, we found a hotel shuttle bus, but not sure if it's the one of our staying hotel. We asked the driver if it's the one that waiting to pick us up. He said yes, but the hotel check-in time should be 3:00pm in the afternoon. He suggested us to have the sightseeing first and helped register the afternoon time for picking us instead. Also, he suggested taking our hand carry bags to the hotel front desk to avoid we carrying too heavy bags while travelling.
2) The lady staff (sorry for forgetting her name) at the lobby hall, who was very proactive. She came over immediately to help taking photos for us when she found we're taking a selfie. She also served us with free drinks for enjoying the sunset at the hall.
3) The staff at the reception desk are very professional. They helped us for check-in, explained the details of the time for meals, and provided all the information required.
4) The foods for dinner & breakfast buffet are very nice and yummy. The restaurant is clean and tidy.
Overall, Olivean Shodoshima Yuhigaoka Hotel is a very professional and comfortable accommodation for stay. We're pleased and feel glad choosing this hotel.

AAriiiielFirst of all, I must say the service was absolutely fantastic!! They really work hard and did a really great job, especially the lady with a pair of glasses! So sorry I didn’t get the name, please transfer my big thank you for the assistance for checking in, picking up my baggage and driving me from the hotel to JR station. You are very cute by the way lol
Secondly, although the price is a bit high, I do recommended it if you come here for a rest, a celebration or even with friends. A quiet, spacious hotel which must try once in a lifetime.

設施：室內一般，衹能説正常。兩個單人床一個沙發床，適合親子。和大江户差不多，但基本都在室外：室外游泳池，乒乓球枱等，唱k付費
衞生：相對乾淨整潔
環境：窗外江景，本身在山裡，周圍沒啥。
服務：因為人相對比較少，有種被重視的感覺。沒有在大江户和旅遊團一起拼殺的感覺。
晚餐：很講究，很浪漫，是前菜，主餐，甜點的順序逐一上菜的。
早餐：也是相對豐富，可選擇的很多。
温泉：地方有點小，但人也少，所以也還好。就是室內一小塊，露天一小塊。肯定沒有大江户那麼大氣了。
整體感受：温泉酒店的對比，無非就是餐食，室內，温泉的比較。
這家的晚餐還是很贊，其他都是一般
