La posizione è molto conveniente, con una fermata a tram e un negozio di comodità vicino. E' facile andare in giro, e anche fornire una navetta gratuita alla stazione Sapporo, che era un salvatore di vita, trascinare bagagli nella neve non è divertente. È anche molto facile arrivare all'aeroporto, poiché la fermata dell'aeroporto è proprio davanti all'hotel. In generale, una scelta fantastica per chiunque visita Sapporo!

Have to say it’s a nice and beautiful hotel. Did not try to use the Onsen as I have a full back tattoo. They do offer some sticker patches for 250Yen but that is if your have small tattoo.  We checked in late around 8pm. We asked counter if they could arrange breakfast the next morning. They replied it’s full. When asked if the same reception if she can arranged dinner. Again she said it’s full. But when I walk over and ask the restaurant directly. They invited me in. Not a very good service coming from the reception lady who just said no without checking.  So unless you like Onsen. You can opt for other hotel.

A Relaxing and Convenient City Getaway I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at this hotel. Its location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, with shops, restaurants, major sights, and public transport all just a few minutes’ walk away. It made getting around incredibly easy and stress-free. The hot spring facilities were wonderful: clean, well-maintained, and pleasantly quiet. The water was at the perfect temperature, and soaking in the onsen provided the ultimate relaxation after a day of sightseeing. My room was spotless and comfortable, with fresh linens, modern amenities, and good soundproofing for a peaceful night’s sleep. Housekeeping was excellent throughout my stay. The staff stood out for their politeness and attentiveness—everyone from reception to the concierge was friendly, professional, and quick to assist with a genuine smile. Overall, this hotel offers a great combination of prime location, soothing onsen, clean rooms, and warm service. Perfect for anyone seeking comfort and convenience in the city. Highly recommended!

Higashi Ward,Sapporo: hotel

I stayed at Sapporo Hotel by Grandbell for four nights and had a lovely overall experience. The hotel is quite new, and the view from the room was beautiful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. One of my favorite parts was the onsen — they have several different baths to choose from, and it was a great way to relax after a long day out in the cold. The convenience is also a plus, with both FamilyMart and Lawson located just downstairs. The only downside is that the hotel is not very close to the JR station. It’s still walkable, but can feel a bit far, especially in winter. One night, I had trouble finding the correct exit at the station and ended up walking quite a long distance to get back to the hotel. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel for its comfort, facilities, and relaxing atmosphere — just be prepared for a bit of walking.

Pretty much happy staying in this hotel. Buffet food for dinner and breakfast already worth the price. Plus they have onsen whether indoor and open air in the ground oor. And the top floor onsen. The view is amazing, I got to see a river and forest cover by snow while having breakfast. 100/10

”Renovated (uneven), great onsen, convenient location” Most of the hotel’s facilities were recently renovated, so they felt new and beautiful. However, only some of the rooms had been updated. Our room was older—not too old, but slightly disappointing compared to the pretty new lobby. That said, it was clean. Our room was near several Chinese tourists who often talked in the corridor, but it was quiet at night. Buffet dinner and breakfast were included. The food was okay—good compared to other countries, but average compared to other Japanese hotels. The onsen was excellent, with multiple pools at different temperatures, including cold baths and an open-air onsen (though partially enclosed due to the hotel’s location). There was a lounge area with free soft drinks and massage chairs before entering the onsen. A table tennis area was also available, though in the basement and a bit hot, so we didn’t play. The reception spoke limited English but tried their best to communicate. There was also a self-service coffee machine in the lobby with a lounge area to relax. The hotel’s location was very convenient: close to the bus stop, with convenience stores nearby. During our summer visit, the illumination event was walkable from the hotel.

JJesscacaAbout 10-15mins driving distance from the city center. Parking is located next to it (around 2mins walking distance) where u have to walk through an alley to hotel main door. Perhaps they can install a street light in the alley way or a back door near to parking lots coz it is quite dark and scary to walk alone. Breakfast is lack of variety but acceptable. Other than these, overall is satisfied.

YYi ShieanFrom the moment we arrived at Mizu no Uta, Tsuruga Resort at Lake Shikotsu, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquil luxury. Valet parking greeted us, and we were swiftly escorted to a path lined with zen music, setting the tone for a stay where every detail exudes serenity. Upon entering the reception, a majestic wooden carving of an owl, a powerful symbol of protection in Ainu culture, watched over us. In a delightful and intimate touch, we were asked to remove our shoes – a gesture that immediately made the resort feel like a sanctuary. Walking barefoot on soft wooden floors in such a refined environment felt like the ultimate indulgence. Live harp music floated through the air as we were led past a live fireplace, its warm flames inviting guests to roast marshmallows, adding a whimsical, yet homely feel to the elegant surroundings. The staff, attentive yet discreet, escorted us to our room via separate lifts, ensuring our luggage was seamlessly handled. Entering the room, we were struck by its sheer spaciousness. A half-sized fridge, thoughtfully included, perfectly stored all our chilled treats from the road trip. But the true star was the view: an uninterrupted panorama of lush greenery, stretching out to meet the serene waters of Lake Shikotsu. The combination of the stunning scenery and the luxurious in-room robe made us feel like chaebols, lounging in opulence and shielded from the cool lakeside breeze. As for the dining, the buffet at Mizu no Uta is nothing short of spectacular. Where many buffets struggle to balance quantity and quality, this resort excels at both. Highlights included a live dessert station and a live pizza-making corner, where thin-crust pizzas, surprisingly better than those from Furano’s famed Cheese Factory, were expertly prepared. The spread also featured an incredible assortment of sashimi – the freshest I encountered during my 1.5-week trip across various hotels. The salmon and mackerel, both raw and uniquely marinated in glass jars, were exceptional. The hot dishes maintained the same elevated standard. A simple tomato-based clam spaghetti was transformed by the quality of ingredients, while even the sautéed kailan was enhanced with the addition of Parma ham. Local produce, such as the fresh broccoli used in the cream-based dishes, lent an unmistakable brightness to each bite. The combination of Japanese and Western cuisine was balanced beautifully, with every plate delivering a sense of thoughtful craftsmanship. Of course, no stay at a lakeside resort would be complete without a visit to the onsen bath. While slightly smaller than the one at Lake Akan, the onsen here is far superior in cleanliness and upkeep. Conveniently, the bath is stocked with towels, so there’s no need to carry your own from the room. The experience is further enhanced by a sauna illuminated with soothing blue light, adding a layer of tranquility to the ritual. The open-air onsen is another highlight. For those who appreciate the purity of nature, the bath even features drinkable Lake Shikotsu water, renowned as one of Japan’s top 100 spring waters. This thoughtful touch, coupled with the stunning views, creates an immersive experience that is equal parts restorative and luxurious.

UUtente ospiteI absolutely love Hanabishi Hotel — I had the best 2-night stay here. The hotel is quiet with no large tour groups, and I really enjoyed the traditional feel and relaxing vibes. I tried all of their room types, and my favorite is the futon room with a private onsen. The futon is very comfortable, and the room itself is incredibly spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful, even assisting me with arranging taxi service. The location is convenient, only about a 10-minute drive from Hakodate Airport. I also loved both the breakfast buffet and the dinner set — they truly pampered me like I was the queen of the world. The public onsen is beautiful and huge. I will forever choose to stay here whenever I’m in the area.

::))My first visit to Otaru was truly unforgettable, all thanks to my experience at this wonderful hotel! Located just a pleasant 20-minute drive from Otaru Station, the hotel is nestled in a tranquil, private area that feels like stepping into a captivating wonderland. I was delighted to discover a bus stop right across from the hotel, making it effortlessly convenient to explore the surroundings. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly by name, and they were incredibly helpful with our luggage. Taking off our shoes upon entering the hotel created a feeling of comfort and cleanliness that made us feel right at home. After a smooth check-in process, during which they confirmed our breakfast time, the staff graciously guided us through the hotel, sharing helpful information about opening hours for various amenities. Our room was beautifully adorned in traditional Japanese style, complete with an open-air bath. Enjoying this serene experience during the winter was simply magical! We also savored a delectable Kaiseki dinner in our room, which was not only a feast for our taste buds but also left us delightfully satisfied. The onsens were a real highlight, featuring an adjacent sauna. With daily alternating access for women and men every other day, we were able to enjoy both during our stay. Families will find this hotel exceptionally accommodating, thanks to its variety of playrooms and relaxation spaces catering to guests of all ages. Plus, the complimentary refreshments and bar in the lobby until 10 PM added a lovely touch to our experience. Breakfast was a true delight, with a peaceful view of the snow outside the restaurant, enhancing the serene atmosphere. On our departure day, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a shuttle bus to take us to the JR station, making our exit seamless and convenient. Looking back, our only regret is that we stayed just one night—I can't wait to return and immerse myself in a different season's beauty. This hotel is now firmly on my list for future visits, and I’m already looking forward to the next adventure!

UUtente ospiteTabino Hotel Ishikari (旅之酒店石狩) is a relatively new hotel that opened in late 2025, and it quickly became one of my favorite stops during my Hokkaido trip. Located in Ishikari City, it’s about a 15–20 minute drive from central Sapporo areas like Hokkaido University or Odori Park, making it a smart choice for those who want easy access to the city without staying right in the busy downtown. One of the first things that struck me was the massive parking lot—it’s a spacious, flat, free parking area with plenty of spots, even for larger vehicles (though larger ones might need prior arrangement). No stress about circling for a space or paying extra fees, which is a huge plus for self-drive travelers in Hokkaido. The room felt pleasantly spacious compared to many budget or business hotels in Japan. I could fully open my suitcase, unpack comfortably, and still have plenty of room to move around. All rooms come equipped with handy in-room amenities like a washing machine, microwave, and fridge, which are great for longer stays or if you want to heat up snacks. The surroundings are remarkably quiet and peaceful, giving that relaxing escape-from-the-city vibe, especially at night. Yet, convenience is never compromised—there’s a 24-hour convenience store (like a 7-Eleven) just a 1-minute walk away, perfect for grabbing late-night snacks, drinks, breakfast items, or anything you need without driving. It’s such a thoughtful location balance. One of the biggest highlights is the on-site hot spring facility. The large public bath uses an artificial onsen inspired by Noboribetsu’s Shirakaba-no-Yu (white birch hot spring), with milky, smooth water that’s incredibly soothing after a day of driving or sightseeing. There’s also a sauna, making it easy to unwind and recharge right at the hotel—no need to hunt for external onsens. Cleanliness is top-notch throughout the property. Everything from the lobby and corridors to the rooms and bath areas felt spotless and well-maintained, with fresh linens and no lingering odors. It’s clear the staff takes pride in keeping the place immaculate. Overall, Tabino Hotel Ishikari offers excellent value: comfortable, feature-packed rooms, unbeatable parking convenience, that perfect mix of tranquility and nearby 24/7 shopping, plus the bonus of relaxing in the hot springs without leaving the hotel. It’s ideal for self-drive explorers, families, or anyone wanting a peaceful yet practical base near Sapporo. I’d definitely stay here again on future trips!
