Hokkaidō, Giappone: hotel termali

This looks like a higher-tiered hotel, but the amenities they provided were sorely lacking. For example, they did not provide any lotion or emulsion or essence in the room or at the reception desk. And for the razor and hairbrush, they were chargeable. Even the onsen was chargeable too. I thought the onsen should be included in the stay. My child and I used it for three times and I had to pay more than 5,000 yen.

I chose this hotel specifically for its private bath, only to discover that reservations must be made 2-3 months in advance via email/phone call. The hotel does provide a shuttle bus from Sapporo city, which typically takes about an hour, but you also need to book that at least a month in advance, according to various bloggers. It was quite disappointing not to enjoy the private bath experience and to have to arrange our own transportation from/back to the city. The frustrating part is that you wouldn’t know the advance booking requirement when you make a reservation through Trip.com or similar platforms. Major shopping destinations such as Stellar Place, Daimaru, and other large malls are all within easy reach, perfect for dining and shopping. One thing to note for travelers who are driving: although parking is available at the hotel, there is a daily parking fee for hotel guests. This is worth factoring into your plans if you intend to rent a car. Overall, Sapporo Hotel by Granbell is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a modern, well-located hotel with friendly service and high-quality rooms.

L'hotel è a pochi passi da fermata di autobus all'aeroporto di Hakodate. 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria. Ci sono due edifici - Main(hotel tipo) e Premier(AirBnB tipo). La nostra stanza è sufficiente per due persone. Puli ma un po' vecchia. Hanno fornito yukata per essere usato nei loro cuori. Sì, il loro cuori è libero di usare per gli ospiti dell'hotel. Abbiamo anche avuto il loro buffet di colazione, che ha una varietà di cibo - alimenti per la pesca, carne, sushi, ecc. Se andate poco prima del tramonto, potete persino ammirare una vista spettacolare sulla Valle dell'Inferno. La posizione non potrebbe essere migliore: è a pochi minuti dalla Valle dell'Inferno. Consiglio vivamente di andarci di sera per una passeggiata serale e scoprire il ”Sentiero del Fuoco Demoniaco”: è fondamentalmente un sentiero illuminato da piccole lanterne, che crea un'atmosfera davvero unica e spettrale. L'hotel offre anche uno sconto e un servizio navetta gratuito per il Bear Park, una tappa obbligata, soprattutto con tutta questa neve!

Our reservation for this hotel was done at the last minute. I managed to get the last room available after we missed our flight as a result of a snowstorm. Our travelling companions were less fortunate, and their reservation glitched out, likely due to the increased network traffic. However, thanks to the kind assistance of Yi Lin (who was a terrific polyglot fluent in both English, Japanese, and Chinese!), we were able to get things in order, and we had a very smooth check-in and reception. The rooms were very comfortable and the amenities provided were more than sufficient. We had a great view of the airport runway too. We were provided with ample drinks and snacks through the minibar, and our hotel meals, surprisingly, ended up being a highlight of our trip. We were more than satisfied with our rooms and the service provided to us by all the hotel staff. Cleanliness was immaculate, too.

My family had a wonderful stay at La’gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-organized, giving us plenty of space to rest after a full day out. The onsen was a real highlight for the adults to relax in the evening, while the location near Hakodate JR Station made traveling with kids and luggage extremely easy. We also really appreciated the washer and dryer facilities, which were a lifesaver for a family trip, especially in winter. Overall, it’s a family-friendly hotel that balances comfort, convenience, and practicality perfectly.

Room is spacious and bed is big and comfortable. Love the memory foam pillow as well. Onsen is basic with just one 'pool'. Breakfast is the highlight of this hotel. You get to choose between 2 restaurants - buffet or Japanese dining. We stayed 2 night so we get to try both. I personally prefer the buffet as the variety and quality of food is really good. My husband prefer the Japanese dining it is less chaotic compared to the buffet restaurant as it has less people. Location is great. Walking distance to a few tourists attraction.

the onsen is really good. the hotel is tidy and clean. the room is big. but the view is not as pretty as expected. maybe because the river is dry

The hotel is a bit old but clean; however, they should improve the cleanliness of the air conditioning grill in the room. Even if there is a variety of body and skincare in the on-sens, there is only bar soap available in the shower of the room. I feel their dinner food set is inferior to other on-sens hotels I have experienced. Fortunately, their breakfast is superb. I found Jozenkai On-sens is less impressive than on-sens in Wakayama. In sum, overall experience is just fine.
