Fujian, Cina: hotel Hotel con sorgenti termali

This must be my worst stay in a hotel for the last 3 years. The rooms are huge but their sound proof is so bad that when anyone on the same floor closes his door, my room door quakes. So you can imagine how you feel when you are in deep sleep and you are suddenly awaken by a loud bang. Every so often. Middle of the night.  Secondly, the aircon in the room continuously blew cold air. Seems this is the setting of their central aircon and my room was an icy 20 degrees throughput. Location wise, it is near the old town but not so near that you can easily walk. Yes there are limited public buses but limited services near the hotel and their frequency leaves much to be desired. Your best bet is go for ride hailing. Fortunately these are very affordable and the city of Zhangzhou is small. Safety box in the room did not work. And yes I did follow the operating instructions  On the plus side, hotel has outdoor hot spring pools but I didn’t try them as the weather was too cold. Manager apologised profusely and tried to compensate us with fruits and bottled water. In my mind it did not make up for 4 nights of poor quality sleep.

Benson e Lainely hanno aiutato molto con le nostre strutture e sono facili da capire. Avete una cena tardiva (e consiglio molto il panino di Pechino e il riso pieno di Fujian) e il buffet per colazione. Emily, del personale del ristorante, era molto paziente e comprendeva le nostre esigenze quando è arrivata alla cucina che ha qualcosa per tutti. Vorrei consigliare questo luogo per un paio di persone che vogliono andarsene e godere di alcune delle cose più belle della vita.

剛從這家温泉度假酒店回來，現在閉眼還能想起浸在私湯裏的鬆弛感——私湯池水温剛剛好，傍晚在温泉公園泡的時候能看到夕陽把遠處的樹林染成金紅色，池邊還貼心放了保温茶桶，泡熱了喝口冰鎮檸檬水，渾身的疲憊像被燙化了一樣。 早餐的食品都有本地特色的，服務員説温泉水是天然的偏硅酸温泉，煮出來的蛋滑得像布丁。 凌晨被雨聲吵醒，披衣去酒店區域轉了轉，霧氣裏藏着的都是酒店別具特色的建築，聽着雨打芭蕉聲，突然懂了“偷得浮生半日閑”的意思。帶長輩來的話，他們肯定會愛這裏的中葯湯池，我媽泡完連説膝蓋都輕快了。 如果想找個地方徹底放空，這裏真的能讓人把時間忘在湯池裡。

The Gloria Grand Hotel Xiamen is a truly grant: beautiful, luxurious, spacious. It is in a good location, close to subway that connects to the train station. My friend and I enjoyed hot water springs for a few hours. I had trouble with the safe in the bedroom and called for help. A service person came right away and helped to resolve the issue. The food was a bit more pricy that food in hotels in other cities, but it was okay.

I booked this room for my mum and cousin for 3N4D stay. I chose this hotel for the location within the Sanfang Qixiang, and walking distance to foodie streets and the Ancestral Hall and Museum of Lin Zexu. The setting of the hotel was exactly what I was expecting, bringing us back to living in ancient Chinese house but with modern comfort. The service from the door concierge (2 gentlemen) to the reception counter (all staff and GM Assistant, Ms Qiu Guixiang) and room service (level 3 staff) was top-notch. The service we received was ever so warm and heartfelt, always able to accommodate our requests including laundry assistance and standing fan, helping us with our luggage and transport . I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a niche boutique hotel, and not an international hotel with full-range facilities.

Loved the spacious room and the amount of daylight the large windows allow in. Extra chargeable amenities such as bubble bath or herbal soak if you want to have a private hot spring dip. Otherwise super convenient as they have spa on level 3 in the same building for a relaxing day. I also liked that they have TV channels option instead of limited free xiaomi TV, and they serve fresh fruits to your room every day!

Right at the start, we had a problem with the payment with our foreign card. The management and staff were very helpful and the problem got solved. Although there was the language barrier, all the staff and the housekeepers always attended to us very friendly and helped us with everything. So the service was excellent. Even at the breakfast buffet, they helped us to find food which is suitable for Muslins. The rooms are spacious, modern, well equipped and absolutely clean with all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. Laundry service is available for free. The atmosphere in overall is pleasant and relaxing. I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Fuzhou.
