ostello a Essaouira

After reading some of the reviews before staying at this hotel I have to say I'm not surprised. I totally agree with the comments that this is not a true 5 star hotel at all. The positives are the location, the pool area and the rooms (to an extent). From one way its only a short walk to the medina and from the other it's a short walk to the beach bars. The pool area is well maintained and very attracting. The rooms are a good size with comfy bed and powerful shower and they are very clean. However, we started off by having to change rooms as the room we were first given had a chipped bath - all the paint had come up off the bottom of the bath so it was unusable, the staff solved this pretty quickly by offering us a room of the same standard one floor above. Nevertheless, I find it shocking that a 5 star hotel would not maintain their rooms in the first place. We found the cleaning staff and concierges very friendly. Some of the breakfast staff and beach staff, less so. One day we sat on the beach beds and felt looked down on and were not treated as well as some of the other guests. This really put us off and prevented us using this area again. Not sure if this is because we are a younger/mixed couple? Overall, the hotel is lacking in a lot of areas and the Accor group need to look into this. I would definitely visit Essaouira again but would probably rent an apartment since the beach and medina have so many options anyway!

Albergo nuovissimo e bellissimo sul lungomare della splendida città di Essaouira dove mi sarei fermato più giorni, a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro storico. Camera ampia, ben arredata, pulita, silenziosa, con cassaforte e ottimo WiFi. Bagno comodo ”alla francese” peccato per la doccia in vasca che a me non fa impazzire. Buffet con una vasta scelta e colazione dolce-salata buona. Personale del ristorante sempre molto attento e gentile. Veramente bello. Se, come spero, ritornerò a Essaouira credo ci farò la mia base.

L'hotel si trova a qualche chilometro dalla città di Essaouira all'interno del comprensorio Mogador e si affaccia sul campo da golf con vista sull'oceano. Un hotel che sicuramente sarebbe stato molto più di classe se chi l'ha progettato avesse fatto un uso meno ampio del cemento a vista per pavimenti che risultano spesso già parecchio deteriorati. La nostra camera godeva di un'ottima vista su piscina, campi da golf e oceano. Al nostro arrivo la camera aveva una temperatura veramente alta ma l' inconveniente legato al mal funzionamento dell'impianto di condizionamento è stato risolto in breve tempo. L'uso del cemento anche nel bagno e nella doccia fa si che questa allaghi e renda scivoloso il pavimento del bagno, il che non è il massimo. Bello svegliarsi e godere della vista esterna direttamente dal letto. Cena a buffet e colazione di buon livello. L'hotel è inoltre dotato di comodo posteggio antistante. Il personale è gentile e disponibile. Ci ritornerei volentieri.

This Riad is located right on the waters edge and this is a huge positive. Make sure to book a sea view room because the views are wonderful. The room we had was classified as a suite which meant it was a little larger with two chairs overlooking the large windows and that view. The bathroom was small, with a shower in the bath. There is a roof top bar and restaurant again with great views of the waves but the food was mediocre. The Riad is well positioned for the medina and was very comfortable.

Jan & Jo si trovava a Riad Al Madina nel settembre. Un meraviglioso, tradizionale Riad marocchino che è benvenuto, confortevole e ha un personale molto carino e utile. Situate all'interno della Medina, le strade circostanti sono affascinanti e interessanti, con tanta esperienza da vedere e fare tutto il tempo. Ci sono un'ampia scelta di posti per mangiare o ottenere rinfrescamenti molto vicini, da dove si può guardare la vita in Essaouria. Siamo stati felici con le nostre camere, che erano pulite, comode e interessanti. Ci sono stati colazione ogni giorno e ci sono stati anche dei pasti di notte deliziosi, e talvolta abbiamo avuto un bicchiere di vino mentre guardavamo il cielo notturno dal cortile centrale aperto. Grazie a tutti i membri del personale che non dimenticheremo mai di essere così amichevoli, utili ed efficienti – un grande team!Grazie speciali a due dei catering team, Zach e Yosef, che erano così gentili e cari durante le ore successive al terremoto. Raccomanda molto questo Riad!

Step back in time and luxuriate in the Orson Welles suite, walk to ocean, or relax in the gorgeous pool. This gem retains its original charm and is a completely delightful experience. Listening to the morning calls for prayer with the windows open was just a wonderful experience. Highly recommend. Note this is not a modern 2023 Radisson so you should be a bit more flexible with your expectations at this legendary place.

Abbiamo avuto solo una notte per soggiornare a Essaouira e abbiamo decisamente fatto una scelta meravigliosa - Villa Marocco è molto unica e così deliziosamente decorata - le camere sono spaziali e tutti molto elegante - ogni camera è in uno dei quattro riad interconnessi e l'intero luogo esula il fascino e la tranquillità. Siamo stati fortunati che Fatima ci ha mostrato alcune delle camere e ..... wow ..... quanto erano tutte bellissime. - la vista dal tetto è spettacolare, vista sulla baia. Siamo stati molto benvenuti e il personale ti fa sentire come se fossi una famiglia - niente era troppo difficile. A notte il posto è così bello - abbiamo cenato lì e i luoghi comuni sono candeleli che dà al posto un'atmosfera così rilassante - anche il fuoco è stato accennato nella zona del bar accogliente - rimarremo certamente lì e saremmo profondamente Siamo un paio di persone del Regno Unito.
