The pictures featured in the other reviews and also in the gallery are spot on. The resort indeed looks exactly as it is shown. Its certainly the best property in Omkareshwar (which is a pretty small town anyway, so not much choice) The Positives: Great location - Away from the town, access is through a forested road, so a little cooler than the environs. Can walk down to the temples through the village (barely a 5-8 min walk across the river to reach the temple entry) Design - Loved the architecture. Wide open stairwells making use of the contours to create a very aesthetic internal spatial segregation. The manager however informed us that unfortunately, the resort will be getting torn down soon to make way for a much larger complex to meet the demands on visitors. Currently they have 21 rooms, its planned to expand to 100 rooms. Hope the design maintains the current style, and does not produce the usual horrible monstrosities we see as hotels. Room - The AC Deluxe room (temple view) was spacious and had a wide balcony with a drying rack. Unfortunately it was too hot (around 40 deg in June) to really want to sit outside since the AC compressor/blower also opens out here. The room did have negatives too, listed below. The Water Cooler - There is a water cooler in the lobby of the residential block (Narmada Block I believe) Our room was a floor above and knowing the short staffing, it was easy enough to just walk down with a couple of empty bottles and fill them up ourselves. (Mineral water bottles are chargeable, you get 2 (1 litre) bottles per room per day) The Staff - The staff is courteous and helpful, its just that the property is too spread out to be able to attend to all guests promptly. The Negatives: Service - Owing to the spread out nature of the resort, service is slow, so be prepared. This is a problem especially around check ins if you are on time or slightly early as all staff are occupied in cleaning the rooms and there is hardly anyone to even inform you where your room is. Not the fault of the staff, they are likely under-staffed The Room and Toilet - The rooms and esp the toilets do seem to be needing a coat of paint and updation of hardware. Tiles were cracked in some places and the stand for the flush spray was broken leaving it hanging limp in an inverted position. Some of the taps were leaky and you had to pay attention to make sure you turned them off properly to avoid water wastage. Water Supply - Not really a negative, there is adequate water, but its dependent on the top tank. Once the water runs out, it needs to be pumped up and can cause a bit of a delay. So please make sure to keep a bucket filled, just in case. During our stay, one evening, the taps ran dry. I called the reception who said water has been pumped up and i should be available in 5-10 mins. This however took almost 30 mins, and on calling a couple of times, the staff realised that they mistakenly pumped water up to the other room b
